Hard to pick a favorite but I'll grab two random scans for examples. So much great material can be had for a good price if you just look. I'm a big Dell guy but I'll skip those and go to some other publishers Here's some early Golden Age picked up in the sub $300 range in the last five years. Big thick 64 page books that really capture the feel of the Golden Age of comics. Great books! Most of my collection used to fall in this thread. But the passage of time has bumped up a whole lot of them. No way would I pay todays prices for most of them. I have always beaten to a different drummer and gone down the road less traveled. Seems my instincts were right.

I just threw out the 1k number as a arbitrary figure. Point being a mere mortal can usually afford the book without taking out a loan or selling your firstborn. I figured 1k was a safe number. Obviously to people like Bedrock 5k or more is their lunch money…lol Edited April 19, 2022 by N e r V jimjum12, Robot Man, Larryw7 and 1 other 3
Popular Post 50YrsCollctngCmcs
A couple of Dell bargains from the last few years; the LOA was a $35 steal on Comiclink and was cracked out to read. A bit more for the FTP #1 but still a deal. I have found so many great Dell books over the years at great prices since they aren't mainstream. Cat-Man_America
Modesty is in the eye of the beholder or ...to paraphrase... the eye’d holder. Anyway, SMASH Comics isn’t one of the more sought after GA titles, but Ruben Moreira covers are rare and solid hits art-wise... Popular Post Black Bat
Possibly my favorite GGA. Took a while to find a clean affordable copy. Besides the gorgeous leggy women, I used to be a lifeguard so it has some special appeal, and love how the woman in back looks like a giantess compared to that sailboat. It's also weird cause the water looks about 3 - 6 inches deep.
