  1. Hello @Poké-Oh! TCG, Thank you for your additional feedback. I understand you are passionate about this topic and you would like to see Pristine 10s include error cards. I am happy to provide your comments and concerns to our grading and management teams. While I cannot provide any specific insight into the reasons for this decision, I can confirm that at the time of the merger and change to the grading scale, CGC Cards made the business decision to move forward with the standard of not giving a Pristine grade to error cards. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  2. Hello @JonnyHuey, Thank you for reaching out to us. One of the best ways to learn about the types of errors that CGC Cards will designate is to review the TCG Error Guide I am not able to identify or evaluate a card for a possible error via photos and submission and evaluation by the grading team is required. If you feel your card is an error card, please be sure to check the error option on the submission form. There is no additional fee for grading error cards. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  3. Hello @Flufy12345 Thank you for reaching out to us. Manufacturing defects are not uncommon and the graders do take this into account when grading. In general, a manufacturing defect will affect the grade of a card less than any damage that has occurred to the card post-manufacture. The extent to which any manufacturing defect may affect the grade will depend on the type and extent of the defect and determining this requires an in-hand evaluation by the graders. It is important to note that a card with a manufacturing error cannot receive a Pristine 10 grade. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  4. Hello @RickKindel Thank you for reaching out to us. At this time we are not offering Signature Series certification or yellow labels for CGC Video Games or CGC Home Video submissions. While this may change in the future, we have no ETA or announced plans to add Signature Series certification for these grading services. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  5. Hello @Alex Lobman, Thank you for reaching out to us. If your cards are not yet in the system, they will be built into the system when you submit them. When completing your submission form, do your best to enter accurate information on the manual card entry form, but do not worry. The grading team will verify the card type and card details as a normal part of the grading process. CGC Cards accepts cards sized 2-5/8” x 3-3/4” (6.6cm x 9.5cm) or smaller. Cards may be up to 7.25mm thick. You can view examples of cards we do not grade here: https://www.cgccards.com/card-grading/cards-we-grade/#no-grade If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  6. Hello @Poké-Oh! TCG Thank you for reaching out to us. When you submit a card for reholder, in most cases the grade will not change. However, if the condition of the card has changed the grade will be updated accordingly. We do not guarantee that any card submitted for reholder will receive the same grade. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  7. Hello @Poké-Oh! TCG, Thank you for contacting us. I would be happy to have the card reviewed. Please keep in mind that not all manufacturing defects qualify for error designation. Very small or insignificant defects, very common defects, or defects that are easily reproducible, will generally not receive an error designation. With that said, we would be happy to take a look to confirm if a mistake occurred and the error designation was missed. If we find that we missed adding the error designation to the label, we can correct this at no charge to you. If a card is submitted for a correction and determined to be correct, it will be returned and return shipping fees may apply, so we always suggest reaching out to us before sending a card back. \ Please feel free to reach out to us should you have any additional questions or need additional help.
  8. Hello @Alan Thomas, Thank you for the suggestion. We appreciate the feedback and I will be sure to share it with our management and grading teams. Please keep in mind that some defects are very difficult to see once a book is in its holder. While grader notes are not always available, all books are evaluated by more than one grader so that the grade is the result of a consensus with the goal of providing a final grade that is consistent with CGC grading standards. If you are interested, the CGC Guide to Grading Comics is a great source of information on how different defects may affect a book's grade: The Official CGC Guide to Grading Comics - 1st Edition - HARDCOVER – CCG Store (collectiblesgroup.com). If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  9. Hello @Alan Thomas Thank you for reaching out to us. Your submission's grades will be available online once the submission has moved to the "Shipped" status. You will be able to view the grades here: https://www.cgccomics.com/account/my-submissions/tracking/ If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  10. Hello @Dgraf, Thank you for reaching out us. If the signing is not witnessed by an authorized CGC witness and then directly submitted for grading, the signature cannot be authenticated for Signature Series. Testimonials, photographs, video recordings, certificates of authenticity, or any other proof of signing are not accepted. Any items that have already been signed would not qualify for the Signature Series label. In most cases, they would receive a green Qualified label (attached). This allows the graders to ignore the signature for grading purposes and the book is not downgraded for the writing. At or below a 6.0 the writing/signature on the cover no longer has a significant impact on the grade and our graders may feel it is not necessary to qualify the grade. They will factor the signature into grade and the book would receive a Universal (blue) label with the same notation of “name on cover in marker”. Please do not send in COAs. Retain them for your records as they are not needed for grading and may not be returned to you. If you have any questions, please let us know.
  11. Hello @ttayw0, Even though there are two different services chosen, we look at the combined total turnaround time to determine the time to completion. It should still be approximately 19 days, with that said turnaround times are calculated in business days and are estimates based on expected projections. We strive to meet the estimates, but actual turnaround times for any individual submission may vary from the estimate. We appreciate your patience and we are working to complete your books as soon as possible.
  12. Hello @Warner85, Thank you for reporting this issue. I will be sure this is reported to our WebHelp team. If you need any additional help, please let us know.
  13. Hello @DLewisChampie Thank you for reaching out to us. Packing supplies and card sleeves received with your cards are discarded. We apologize but we are unable to return the card holders your cards were when they arrived. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  14. Hello @Warner85, Thank you for reaching out to us. When you receive a shipment notification, it can take about 24 hours for the shipment to receive its first scan. I have checked your shipped submissions and all tracking numbers are working correctly. It does appear that two of the submissions have been delivered and the third is in transit. I will reach out to you via email with tracking links for your reference. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  15. @Spencer Jones Sometimes it can take a few days for the images to be updated. Since this just shipped a couple of days ago, the images have most likely not been uploaded yet. If you need anything else, please let us know!
  16. Hello @Yorick, Thank you for reaching out. I do suggest using the preexisting information in the system. While entering book information manually when the book information is already in the system, should not cause any significant delay, it is helpful. When the receiving team is processing the intake and inventory of a submission with manual entries, they will attempt to find the correct title in the system. So using the information already in the system will save some time. When entering the book manually, using the cover title is a good general practice. Keep in mind that when creating new book data in the system, the final determination regarding how the book will be labeled is determined by the grading team so it may vary in format from what you have entered manually. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  17. Hello @Gator Guru, Thank you for reaching out to us. Without your shipment tracking number, unfortunately, I cannot confirm delivery until the submission completes the intake process and is entered into our system. I did review your recent packing slips and I do not see that we have received the recent reholder order (CGC0151952970) in the system. Once your order is delivered, the intake process takes about 5 to 10 business days, but in some cases, it can take longer. For example, a package that is not properly labeled for signing events (or other services that have package labeling requirements) or one that is missing the required order documents will experience some delay. For future submissions, be sure to keep your shipment tracking number, at least until you see the submission in the system under online tracking. The shipment tracking number is the only way we can track your package internally before it is entered into our system and the information used to confirm delivery. Give it a few more days. Most likely, the intake queue for reholder is simply taking a little longer than usual. Thank you for your patience. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  18. Hello @Chris Faison, Thank you for reaching out to us. A staple that is missing due to an error in the binding process (evidenced by no staple holes) will not affect the book's grade. However, when this occurs it can cause additional stress on the staple that is in place possibly causing other defects such as staple tears and staple detachment. If these other defects exist they will be graded accordingly. if you have any other questions, please let us know.
  19. Hello @Spencer Jones, Thank you for reaching out to us. Good news! This submission has shipped. I will email you the tracking number directly. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  20. Hello @dbcn, Thank you for contacting us. The book's existing certification number is the key to ensuring that your book retains any pre-existing signature information. If you are submitting a Signature Series certified book, when completing the online submission form, be sure to select the option for "resubmitting." You will enter the book's certification number and this will tie the existing certification, and any previously certified signature, to your submission. See the image for reference. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  21. Hello @I like pie, Thank you for reaching out to us. The CCS team has the final determination regarding whether your book is eligible for pressing and restoration. During the screening process, your book will be evaluated to determine if it is a good candidate and eligible for these services. As long as your book is eligible for CCS, you can take advantage of these services, and grading is not required. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  22. Hello @FusionXA, Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, Elite members can schedule drop off and pick up of card submissions. Please be sure to contact us at least 24 hours in advance to schedule your appointment. If we can help with anything else, let us know!
  23. Hello @Gaser, Thank you for reaching out to us. Only Gem Mint 9.5 cards will be updated to Gem Mint 10. Lower grading cards that are submitted for reholder will receive the same grade with the new label, as long as there is no change to their condition. Please also note that we no longer offer subgrades, and cards any previously assigned subgrades will not be printed on the new label. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  24. Hello @minimroach9 Thank you for reaching out to us. It does appear that the card was examined for an error and since it did not receive the designation, this would generally mean that it did not qualify. However, as a courtesy, I have reached out to the grading team to ask them to review the images of this card. I will reach out to you directly when I receive their reply. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
