Perhaps @Marty Mann could give us some insight into that question?

Not dumb at all. As far as I can tell, the answer is "there ought to be, given what collectors typically value, but this book is uncommon enough that in practice there is little or no premium for a first print". I'd add that once a copy is slabbed there's no way of knowing which print it is short of cracking it out, and CGC doesn't distinguish them in its notes. Further complicating matters is that fact that it's not clear (as far as I know) whether the second printing had the same indicator ad date as the first or the third. So a copy with "now on sale" in the ad for Action 14 could be a first or second, and one with "on sale June 2nd" could be a second or third.
If I've got that wrong I'm happy to be corrected.

I'm really loving the search for cool foreign editions. For me, its all about finding cool covers not seen in the U.S. Some are drawn by foreign artists. Others are by notable US artists - usually internal repurposed panels (not redrawn) into covers like these:
I've already got fantastic covers by Barks (one of my favorite DD stories) and Foster that never appeared in the U.S. Cool stuff!
I love that series. I now have all 20, though I'd like a better #1. The b&w printing works pretty well for Foster's work. Here's a splash panel I especially like.

We need our Australian experts to weigh in, but my understanding is that some Australian comics are printed in the UK because I've also seen them called "UK" comics.
Late to the party here, but there were Australian prints made for the UK market. The Australian market versions often had an 8d price while those for export to the UK were sixpence, 6d. The only difference other than the price is the back cover ads. Here are two I own.

His reasoning.
I'm not sure he's right about the tape he discusses in the section starting 11:00. If that tape is closing small splits top and bottom of the spine, CGC will factor those splits into the grade, treating the tape as if it isn't there. Of course, given what else will happen to the spine in this process it might not matter that much...

Here's a case of someone who had one of the biggest books in the hobby defaced to remove CT - when it had already been given a blue label. (Which can happen with golden age books.)

Nice book @Marty Mann - well worth what you paid for it!
I like the 'beak abuse' covers. Here's another couple.

My first thought was that I wouldn't care if a crack like that was in a slab I bought. As Mike says, the book looks fine (and I tend to crack stuff out in any case). But then it occurred to me what a world of pain you could get into trying to sell a slab with a crack - I can hear the whining eBay buyers already. And since 3rd party grading is meant to facilitate trading by instilling confidence when buying, that sort of defect undermines the whole concept. Just my

The US #6 isn't rare except in higher grades. The problem is that during production, the cover was cut larger than the interior, so any kind of use would result in edge bends and tears. Heritage recently had a CGC 6.5 and you could see the start of problems across the top edge. It also looked like it might have had some staining or browning, and I passed on it. I have a decent copy but would like one comparable to the FC #456 [which I'd sold him - a 9.4 white]. At the moment, I think the top of the Census is 8.0, but I'm sure there is a great copy out there in some old collector's set.
Wow, that takes me back a bit. I had a similar exchange with Rich about 2010, when I was searching for a suitable copy of Uncle Scrooge #6. I'd joined Heritage a month or two after that auction and figured I'd find another similar book soon enough. Ten years and no nice copies coming across my radar later... a boardie sold me that same copy that I'd missed at Heritage. I cracked it out, and I'd say that Rich had a very good eye. The copy is nice enough, but the interior covers are indeed a bit toasty! There's still no census copy above 8.0 and my 6.5 is still tied for seventh place. I assume that Rich never found that 9.x copy he wanted.

Oh no. I have corresponded with Rich on and off for years, and he sent me some lovely gifts of duck pinbacks he made. I'm very sorry to hear that Frank. I was very happy once to learn that he had attended a famous Bob Dylan concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 1965 and be in a position to send him a bootleg recording of same for him to revisit the event.
Please let Gayle know that Rich's kindness was much appreciated by me on the other side of the Pacific.
