It's all the video gamers waiting to get their games graded. They all logged on at once when the word dropped and made things go boom.

Yeah nah, it's been happening for awhile.

  2. Yep, right at the same time every night I should be going to bed. Nice of CGC to send me that message every night, but pulling down the boards just for my sleep benefit seems a bit much, don't you think?

Interesting I didn't even know that lol

Hes reprising it? Does that mean hes done it before?  If so when, that would be interesting as well..... :)

Just for the mid-credits scene in Guardians Of The Galaxy 1, and 2.

Something happening besides HTD in the What if trailer? My HTD#1 CGC 9.8 WP sold on Clink last night for $619....:tonofbricks: I was hoping for at least 750.

Not that I know of. Just that we've now got a trailer for the series and know that Seth Green is reprising his role as the voice of Howard.

His first movie was a complete flop. Not all, but I would think some people would be cautious about giving him a second chance.

I wonder how many of these people have even seen that movie though?

This is a good point...there are a number of collectors that post about having garage sales as a good way to get rid of cheap books -  no way in hell I'm advertising to the comic community where I live.  Politics and socio-economics aside, counting on a policing body to recover stolen property is a moot point and shouldn't be counted on.  We need to be smart and protect our belongings, a few years back I knew of a major theft in my city - tons of valuable comics (TMNT 9.4 first print), pokemons, cards, etc - the owner had them in a storage facility in his building.  I felt bad for him, but why on earth would you have collectibles not upstairs in your condominium unit???

Exactly. Same with medications. I have an illness that requires quite serious meds, and I get asked what I take for it, in online discussions and IRL. I never answer that, for the same reason. I don't want to advertise 'Good Stuff Here!', that'd be foolish.

The Cable/ Hodge portion of the cover is lifted directly from the artwork inside the issue. I can only guess that the cover artist submitted the Jean/ Wolverine cover and someone thought it needed more.

I'd never noticed that. Good catch. But how odd. How did the artist (Bogdanove wasn't it?) think just Jean and Logan was enough for a cover against Jim Lee's detailed covers for the same crossover? I'd love to know the story there.

    Signed letsgrumble, after @Get Marwood & I

Objection to 2 of them. 9 and 10 aren't of the Thing, they're of the She-Thing, aka Sharon Ventura, and are on-model for her. It's not a good look, agreed, but it's not Ben and was never meant to be.

Also I think 16 looks rather good, same with number 7 (he was covering his face because Wolverine clawed it up in a feral rage, using the original helmet Kirby designed for him, so I thought it was a nice homage) but that's irrelevant. Good list aside from Sharon's inclusion.

Hello. Just by doing some quick research, I believe I just came across a couple hundred Golden age comics(before 1980). I was wondering how I know which ones I should get graded by CGC and which ones are not worth much. Can anyone help me with this question?

Hi, the Golden Age is actually a looong time before 1980, it actually ended around 1956. Does that change the era on the books you have? If so you may want to double check their eras again. After Gold came Silver. A find of a couple hundred Golden Age books could indeed be something worth looking at.

First thing id suggest is sharing what titles you have, as that'll give us some idea of what you have, and some issue numbers, eg Fantastic Four #45-63. Pictures are even better.

    And welcome to the boards.

Did anybody see the Judge Judy  with the Lego's case?

A guy rsponded to an internet ad offering 200 pounds of Legos for $600 or so. He gets them home and weighs them and it is only 70 pounds.

He wants a partial refund since it is roughly a third of the advertised weight. The judge is not the least bit sympathetic and the seller says the buyer has some of the stuff on line and is asking over $100,000 for it. Judge looks at the ad and dismisses the case.

The ad is for Legos and the price listed was $123456.

Plenty of people said that about comic books 20 or so years ago.

Exact same thing to the average person. A graded comic book can't be read, and a graded video game can't be played.

I like to think he wouldn't choose to use that style again.

I think it's absolutely dreadful, and I can't even read those issues (I only own them because I love the FF, and I got the Unlimited run cheap, probably because of the art, although Roy Thomas' stories aren't particularly great either) but if it's what made Herb happiest in his career, then good for him.
