  1. The top 3 I'm most excited about. I actually got all of these at around the same time so I consider it a single purchase. Love that cover. And of course, Ivy....................................... Honorable mention..........................................................
  2. .................................................................................
  3. I think GL 76 is probably a more significant key, given what that run was trying to do, but my preference would be HOS 92. If offered up a choice between the two, I'd take HOS 92 every time despite me being a huge Neal Adams fan.
  4. Wow. I've never heard of this graphic novel. Just so the first ep on YouTube. This is show is gonna be great if it can keep up the quality.
  5. Seems like he's since modified his posting.
  6. To many of my books are evenly weighted. I supposed if I completely left the hobby and kept just one as a token, it'd be Bats 232 or Bats 227, or maybe even Conan 1. Something that's iconic and look nice on the wall.
  7. Same as last year's. Fewer, better books. Not looking to build up my collection at this point. Maybe I can muster up the will power to unload some of my under copies as well.

    Mistake

Hey, not so bad. I got married.
  9. To be truthful, I thought the writing does show its age, but still holds up better than most of its contempories. I was reading DD back in the day when hardly anyone else was. Was absolutely thrilled when practically overnight the title became just as relevant as X-Men. Loved the gritty and noir take that pushed the envelope of the Comics Code. Miller DD was one of those titles that I anxiously waited on to come out every month. Very happy to have finally reacquired all the Miller books that I used to have last year.
  10. I got it with a package deal last year. I think I paid like $60-70. Don't remember exactly. Basically issues 158-191, but minus issue 168. No big deal since I already had a raw issue 168 to complete the run.
  11. Really? Wasn't sure it was a sig at all given how sloppy it is. Then again, considering low sloppy some of these sports sigs are, I'm not surprised. Finding an example of Miller's sign (not just his initials) online is a bit tough.
  12. I picked up a nice raw run of Miller's DD last year and finally got around to re-reading it (it's been 30 years). As I got to issue #180, I found a surprise. Not sure if there's two sigs here or ol' Klaus was being artistic.
  13. I heard it's actually more expensive for them to use newsprint now. In any case, I would. I love newsprint.
  14. This thread needs a BUMP! I just keep buying these sets for some reason.......
  15. If James Wan is still attached to the Aquaman movie, it'll be good and probably do very well. The guy has a knack for being able to make chicken soup out of chicken mess.
  16. Maybe they needed EP 13 as a setup for season 2 (if they decide to spend the $$$ for season 2).
  17. They still did this back in the '70s. I used to buy books like this all the time for a dime a piece. In fact, I had a Hulk 181 that was like this, which served as my reader to my "investment" copy.
  18. I never display any of my high priced collectibles or firearms. In the mid-90's nearly my entire high-end sports card collection was stolen in a break-in of which I never recovered any of it (this was pre-PSA). By today's value, I'd estimate it to be 50-60k loss.
  19. A bit of an accidental buy. Was looking for a nice raw copy, but wounded up winning this one over at CL which I didn't expect. Not sure if I want to crack it out or leave it in the slab to use as a wall copy. Conan #1 is one of my all time favorite books of BA.
  20. I would imagine CL just doesn't think the time (and cost) of changing their workflow, hosting requirements, and web application engine is worth it at the present time. It's not something you can just wake up one morning and flip a switch. It wouldn't surprise me however, if their next overhaul of the site would finally include scans of the backs though.
  21. One of my favorite comic mags back in the day. Finally back in my collection. The TPB came in today as well. Wanted a cheap reader to go with the slabbed copy, but couldn't find one that was cheap enough.
