Glad you didn't

And I'm glad to see that you decided to continue on with your quest. Turning back at this point would be a real shame.

Thank you sir...every so often, a bunch of quality Gold comes up for sale and I always start crunching the numbers about what kind of money I could free up if I sold these, then Doc talks me off of the ledge :)

I'm not bidding on the inexpensive multi-book lots out of consideration for you :foryou: and would hope anyone reading this thread would take a similar tack, although it's not mandatory they do

Sal: I appreciate that, and is not necessary. I will know after this weekend whether I will continue my quest or not. When I get back from NYC I'll make everything official.

Jim you are obviously in a very good position to take advantage of peak SA values and use the proceeds to build a killer GA collection. Personally I might keep a few of the select SA issues [Avengers #4, a few TTA's, etc] but there are a ton of beautiful GA books on the market this year: Human Torch #12 CGC 9.0, new OO Timely collection with a high grade MMC#9, MC#1's, and so much more. Maybe in the long run the SA books will have a greater return on investment but the glory and history associated with 70 year old books is hard to ignore. I see a lot of guys switching from SA to GA but I rarely see them go the other way. (thumbs u

Jim, if you stop collecting silver age who is going to buy my WM Avengers when I decide to sell them?

They are gone...I'm sorry I wasn't able to sell some off to people that I know were looking for particular issues. It would have been to difficult to watch them leave one by one, and this worked out best for me. I'll go into details tomorrow as I just got back from the show, but if somebody wanted something specific, they should give Bob Storms a shout for any particular issue they were looking for.
