Boardie friends.  Anyone remember John Ivarone (sp)!  He used to post on Stan’s Weekly Express and early TBG.  He must have collected the best MLJ collection in the world!

Planets and Foxes are great, but they're both hot right now, and hot=bubble, so it's a good time to branch out into other publishers. You can't go wrong with the Zip 13.

Yes, that's a great Novick cover.  It has it all:  Nazis, fanged Japanese, skulls, and a babe in bondage.  However, if the girl is an undercover agent, I don't understand why she is carrying her Secret Service ID in her purse when she visits the bad guys.

It reminded me that a very nice copy of the book had gone missing along with a nice Catman 20. I had hoped that the books would be found quickly. My biggest fear is that someone could have stolen them, found out how much they were worth, panicked, and destroyed them. It's also possible that they could have been misdelivered to somebody who knew absolutely nothing about comics and who cracked them out and gave them to neighborhood kids to read or who simply discarded them.

ETA: I'm not sure whether keeping the books would actually be considered theft. My mother used to work for the U. S. Postal Service, and she told me that the addressee on a misaddressed package has no legal obligation to return the contents of the package. She retired many years ago, but she was in a position to know the law on that point back when she was still working. I'm not sure whether the law is still the same or whether it would apply to packages shipped through a private company like FedEx, though.
