So I got shut out in the Heritage MLJs last weekend and (like a few of us here I think) went shopping elsewhere for a consolation prize.   I honestly started collecting Top-Notches just because they were more affordable than Zips and Peps... but now I'm hooked! And there are some awesome covers sprinkled through the run. Very psyched about this one.

Complete, but piece out of second page, loose cover and yes, a tiny bb hole from someones target practice!

The 27 was an eBay pickup. It’s a tough book to find.

I've never managed to upgrade an MLJ before, but I couldn't resist this beauty on ebay a few months back. Has some interior tape and some bumps and bruises that would hold down its technical grade, but the cover freshness and gloss are amazing; much nicer than I usually see with early '40s books.

Was anyone watching those early Pep Comics on Heritage? Dayum! I forgot that the live auctions were tonight, but it's just as well as the ones I was watching finished at many multiples of what I would have bid.
