Recently came across a family member's collection of underground comix and been having a blast looking into the history of the whole scene! This thread has been very helpful.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on this particular edition of the "It Ain't Me Babe" comic? I've looked all over, including a handy article on comixjoint, and all I can find is information on the 1st printing (blue/purple) and 2nd-3rd printings (both identical, blue/green). Nothing on this particular coloration. Any experts out there?

It seems as though it may be a misprint, missing a color plate.

My guess is sun fade, what does the back cover look like?  Or, like @comixbiblesuggests, it could be a missing plate.  I suspect, in either case, it's a first print based on the background appearance.

Never seen one like this. One possibility is a 1st print book lacking the red ink due to a production error, perhaps?

It's a first printing missing the magenta color of the CMYK color process. A color variant if you will. Generally these fetch a premium and speak to the more hands on carefree assembly of underground comix. I've owned a full set of Zap 4 colors variants, Tales from Teenage Shangri-la 2 etc. They are 😎

I've watched em all a few times. Tubi is a free app for Roku etc.

I watched the first couple of episodes. Mildly amusing, but ultimately lacking IMHO. The animation superficially captures the look, but is a poor substitute for the Shelton/Sheridan/ Mavrides artwork in the strip, and the humor isn't as clever, even if the originals can seem somewhat dated today. Dropping the circa 1970 Bros into the modern age seems like it could have been an episode, but I'm not sure it is sustainable as a premise.

Was sorting through a collection I bought years ago. Found some adult underground comics/mags. No recent sales on eBay. Any resources on how to price these?

I deal in a lot of obscure comix, and related items, so if you want to post a list of titles, I can try to help you out.

Thanks! They’re a bit risqué to post pictures.

San Francisco Ball Comics usually sell for around $25-50, give or take, sometimes more, sometimes less. At present, there's a copy of #1 on Abe for $25: https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=928034239

Krazy Krotch, and many of the other Golden Newcomics, fluctuate pretty wildly in price. Some are much tougher to find than other, but typically, $15-30 each for the more common titles. I've seen a that particular title on and off through the years, and it's a bit less common than some of the others: https://www.worthpoint.com/inventory/search?categories=&query="krazy+krotch"

I'm blanking out on Sextoons. I'm thinking it's one of those Sex to Sexy-type comics, which typically don't sell for much. Basically a collection of gag cartoons in the style of Playboy, etc. Maybe $15-20 on a good day for that sort of stuff.

I actually need Fast Eddie's. I missed the last two that sold on eBay via the now defunct adults only category. Send me a PM if you'd be willing to sell that one, and maybe we can work out a deal.

So, I have hidden a post.  X rated imagery isn't allowed.  Here are the guidelines regarding nudity.

Nude images: Given that this is a comic book collecting forum, some leeway for actual comic imagery is provided, more so than non-comic related imagery. Some nudity is allowed when it is comic related and done in a tasteful manner. However, there are many comics that are quite explicit and aren't allowed to be posted here.

Trying to figure out what an appropriate limit is, if this is unacceptable please do not hesitate to remove this.  Here's a couple books that do feature nudity on the cover, one is by Vaughn Bode and the other is by Frank Frazetta.  When I've posted them in the past I have censored them out of an abundance of caution.  They are both books that would, in my mind, fall in the "acceptable for actual comic imagery" category based on what you said above.

Hi CGC Mike,

was it a post of  mine? It seems it was the post of mine about The Life and Loves of Cleopatra, by Harry Driggs. Although I find the censorship for a such kind of historical item quite anachronistic, it is fine to me, if you have a policy about nudity (or whatever).

I regret that you don't let me know about the possible issue by a private message, and did not suggest a way to emend my post. Clearly, I am not interested to promote pornography (or whatever) on this board (neither elsewhere, as a matter of fact), but to comment and look for comments about a collectible item, as that book by Diggs certainly is.  You could have easily advised me on how to reword my post as to fall within your/cgccomics guidelines. As far as I am able to look for, the post is not just hidden to the pubblic, but gone, isn't it?

I do consider this as an unfortunate incident.
