are we still waiting to find out what was in those dusty boxes??? or did I miss something. I believe we were told it would be worth waiting for. didn't think it would be this long

Think the flying one is waiting for the VCC to share - he has only hinted so far.......

Nope. I identified the key issues. Did also find a rough X-Men 101, but the Iron Man 55 and Xmen 266 were the best of the bunch.

However, she did come back tonight with the rest of the books. I was expecting 2 more boxes. Instead she brought this:

10 boxes! There was no way I could look at them outside so I just bought the lot. I told her if I find something crazy like a Walking Dead 1 that I will call her back to give her some more money.

Should be fun to go through. I will report back in the next day or two. It's going to take awhile since the boxes are packed. No bags or boards on anything.

Can't wait to hear about these!

To me that is drek too but I do realize that there is something for everyone. Congrats to you though. Hope you sell it and do well!

Hit a flea market yesterday that we hadn't been to in a few years. One guy that I remembered was still there and had a lot more comics this time (along with tons of cool vintage memorabilia). Unfortunately, he still has the same clue as far as pricing. It's frustrating to see a 2.0 Sub-Mariner #1 for $300 and he won't budge more than $100 off the price. "But a near-mint is $600!" the expert proclaimed to me when I offered some friendly advice. Oh well. I escaped with this handful of books for $45, so I did okay. I might take some crisp $100 bills there and see if I can get him to come down on some of his better books like an ASM #300, GI Joe #155, Star Wars #107, etc. An interesting statement from him (even April thought he talked WAY too much) was, "Cash only...the government doesn't know I do this."

Here's my purchase and then some photos of his multi-booth shop from his online ad...

I don't much care for people that run museums and have cool old kitsch.

Good luck chip tried getting him to down on that ASM 300 but he thinks its pristine condition and worth what he has it marked at.

Just finished going through the 10 boxes and it was a big DUD! It was worth a shot.

Lot's of near misses like ASM 360 and 363, Caliber Presents 2-6, Next Men 13 and 14. No Preacher or Walking Dead.

Did well on the first group; hoping to break even on the second group.

Nice booth.

What's the grade/price on his 300? The answer to me is simple: if he thinks his copy is high end, bring him a high end copy to compare it to. He's still not going to give you a resale discount, he knows what he has.

Don't be a grumpy cat. You'd like it plenty if he let you have what you want dirt cheap.

I wasn't looking for dirt cheap. I was looking for reasonable pricing where an item might actually sell.
