So their are 2 different color cowl versions ?  Kind of like the Blue's on a Hulk 1 ??

Yep, Tec 31 has very distinct cowl colored versions. I haven’t really noticed a difference in the Hulk 1s personally to consider it a drastic color variant.

Yeah, sitting at only $29K or something like $34,800 with the BP juice in there right now.

Wait be interesting to see if this copy will be able to get itself into the mid $40K's which CC was able to sell their CGC 1.0 graded entry copies for a few years ago.   :taptaptap:

Well, looks like this entry level copy here did it's expected run up at the end and finished up at a record high of $48K for this condition grade.  :applause:

Let’s see where the CGC 2.5 Tec #31 ends up in the current Heritage auction? Could 70k be a target I wonder?

Tec 31 in 1.0 now pulls further away from Cap 1 in 1.0 ........early mega key Marvel just can't come close to Bats or Supes

It's more to do with rarity.  Cap 1 is a fantastic book and much more key and I would guess desired by more people than the tec 31 -- but the tec 31 seems to be far more rare, so the number of existing copies of Cap 1 impact its relative value due to differing supply v demand.

Hard to say when entry level prices (similar to CGC 9.8's or CGC highest graded copies) are not really that relevant when it comes to trying to extrapolate prices for other condition graded copies.  hm

Although this HA copy here should have no problem cracking $60K, not sure if its less than appealing visual appearance will keep the bids down:  :p

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Detective Comics #31 (DC, 1939) CGC GD+ 2.5 Cream to off-white pages....

Especially since this much more nicely presenting CGC 2.5 graded copy managed to achieved only $56K on CC a few short months ago which was a bit of a surprise to me, but then again I am quite sure that the Slightly Brittle PQ is what kept the bidding on this copy down below expectations: :luhv:

Poor looking 2.5 copy on Heritage up for auction right now.  I don't think it will do too well.. Presents like a 1.5.  The 2.5 brittle pages sold for cheap because of the PQ

Sold for 87k including buyers premium!!

Is that a new record price for a 2.5 #31?

Quite sure it is since the last one managed to fetched only $56K back in April of this year.  :gossip:

Then again I am quite sure if the the Slightly Brittle PQ which really knocked the price of that one down, whereas today's copy had CR/OW pages. (thumbsu
