Let's see - blonde blue-eyed girl next door with a brother who's also blonde. Let's cast the dark-haired, olive-skinned Alba instead of, say, the fifty million actresses who actually already look like the character and are (in some cases at least) far more talented. Why? No reason. Why, do we need one?

 

Maybe it had something to do with the casting director's couch? blush.gif

 

If that was the case, I wish I was the casting director.

I know he probably doesn't need any help, but I'm gonna step to bat for JC here. You guys always jump on him when he slams these "comic movies", but he's usually right on the money (Spidey 2 the exception, and I don't think he slammed it like the others).

 

He was right about Daredevil (it sucked), he was right about the Punisher (another stinker), he was right about the Matrix movies (they should've left it alone at #1), and he was dead-on target with Van Helsing (the worst of them all).

 

Ther X-men and Spidey movies are the exception to the rule. Most of these comic based movies are bad movies. Even the Batman franchise couldn't hold up for more than 2 movies. And that's frikkin' Batman!

 

An FF movie would be mediocre at best. Catwoman is an automatic flop. I don't even want to think about how bad a treatment my boy, John Constantine will receive. frown.gif

I AM on the money, and let's not fall into the trap of believing what a few drooling, simpering fools attribute to me.

 

Before production, the producer of Spider-man 2 gave her husband some -script-writing work on the movie, and I stated that was not a good move. But since so many good writers had their fingers in the SM2 pie, some nepotism and a writer-merry-go-round didn't hurt much, if at all.

 

One comment about writing nepotism is transformed (using insufficiently_thoughtful_person fanboy-speak I assume) into me slamming the movie and stating that it would suck at the box office. 27_laughing.gif

 

It's amazing how far some drooling dolts will go to fake JC commentary.

Well considering that the Matrix sequels and Van Helsing are NOT comic book movies that would make JC 2 for 6. Punisher and DD sucked and the X-Men and Spiderman movies were good. Actually I have no idea what he said about the X-Men movies or Spidey 1 before they came out but using his sound reasoning on every other movie I'm sure he predicted that they would be steaming piles of 893censored-thumb.gif. See the problem is that according to the mental midget, I mean hyper-intelligent, EVERY movie sucks before it even starts production. And JC, you're absolutely incapable of admitting that you're wrong no matter how much evidence is presented to the contrary so I won't even get into it.

From what I hear from people working on the production, the -script is going through yet another rewrite. Don't get me wrong, I love the FF, but I don't have high hopes for the movie.
