Bernie Wrightson Appreciation Thread

Bernie signed my mid grade copy of Swamp Thing #1 at Wonderfest a few years ago, and I bought a couple of his sketch books. He is a very soft spoken gentleman, and should be on everybody's list of artists to visit at conventions.

I know its a Bronze Age thread, but here is a great Bernie piece done as a prelim cover for Spectre #58 in 1997 (the final version is much different). Still looking to pick up a good copy of Wrightson's Spectre #9...

Beautiful!

Really like the 2nd Frankenstein print. Wish I could get one. Are they still available?

I also have the larger Frankenstein print signed but the one I have is signed and numbered 88/300. From where was yours issued?

Thanks for the great images!

I bought the 2nd one from Bernie about 2 months ago at a con(http://staple-austin.org/).

He had additional copies of it and a several others from Frankenstein.

The large one I bought from him at Wizard World Austin last fall.

(He didn't have any of these at staple con)

I think he lives in Austin, currently. He's scheduled to be at the next WW con there, and I think a few others.

One of the nicest comic book artists I've met.
