All of the above are also CGC 9.8.

There are 948 cgc comics. 800+ are 9.8.

This is the culmination of over 2 decades of collecting comics and 1 decade of CGC vigorus hunting, personal pressing, person to person trading, and direct to cgc certifying.

80% of these were direct submissions to CGC. 20% were acquired by other means.

Whew…. Here’s the boring stuff now.

Here at Cloud 9 Comics and More, the original since 2004, we strive for 5 stars positive feedback for every transaction. If we have not met this standard in any way contact us and we will make things right. That is a promise!

Attention international bidders: we only use the eBay international shipping program which means we cannot combine shipping. This means you WILL be charged import fees, taxes and other charges. Please assume that it will be expensive and do not bid on items if you are not willing to pay theses fees.

Attention CGC bidders: All cases are brand New unless otherwise noted. This doesn’t mean that the casings are flawless. As of 2021 cases will have minor flaws (I.E. scuffs, scratches, newton rings) and these flaws are present at the time of encapsulation. There will not be cracks, debris or any serious flaws. If this happens contact us we will make it right. Also some CGC 9.8’s don’t have rear photos. Rest assured that these items are free from flaws. We have fast and free returns in case you are in any way dissatisfied. Yes! That means we take returns on certified comics. We are very confident you will be satisfied with our product.

Some Comics may have a sticker on the cover in the photo, these stickers are on the bag and board not the comic unless otherwise stated in the title of the listing.

If you have questions about the grade see the title. Please note that wedo not send extra photos of the comics we list. We grade accurately and have an amazing return policy.

We answer all questions promptly.

We combine shipping generously.

Payment must be made within 3 days of purchase. If payment isn't made within that time frame the transaction will be cancelled and a non-payment will be listed on the buyers account. If you can’t make payment in that timeframe we humbly request you postpone bidding or making offers until you are prepared to make payment.

Insurance is free on all items or groups of items that total over $200.00.

Thank you for your business and keep in mind that if you buy more product I am more willing to negotiate on pricing.

If you have questions on high end product that are difficult to answer over the messaging services that ebay provides then you may request our phone number to have that conversation. Just send us a message and we will gladly give you our phone number when appropriate.

Once done shopping send us an invoice request (this is an icon found on the desktop version of eEbay) and we will promptly send combined shipping prices for all items on the invoice.

Our combined shipping offer is only available for domestic shipments.  If you need combined shipping and you are an international customer please contact us through eBay messaging first.

All comics are bagged and boarded!  (This doesn’t include graphic novels and magazines)

Thanks for shopping with the original

Why say it sold for $18K?:makepoint:

I don't think it matters when the price is already in the stratosphere. Can it be repeated? Probably.

The thing to remember is that the people who got in early (some years ago now) and paid a fraction of that price for a copy will always be winners when they eventually sell.

That’s a lot of dough. Probably way too much but who’s willing to do all the math?

It's 948 books. Assume for the sake of argument $150K on AF15, $100K on ASM 1-10, and $50K on ASM 11-20. That's $300K on 21 books. So that leaves $1.2 million for 927 books, or $1,294 a book on average. Using KeyCollector as a guide, the books after ASM 20 that beat the $1,294 average in "high grade" are ASM 28, 31, 41, 50, 101, 129.

There are some outliers KeyCollector wouldn't catch because they command a premium in a 9.8, like ASM 194, 238, 252, 300, 301.

That's 11 "key" books outside the first 21 that beat the $1,294 average, and some by a decent amount - double or more in some cases. But even if there were 40 additional books after the first 21, and we said those 40 averaged a ballpark value of $3k each, that's $120K more. So we're at 61 books worth $420K. Let's sloppily round it to $500K even to make the math easier. That still leaves $1 million for 887 books, or $1,127 a book on average.

This "napkin scratch" analysis obviously has flaws, and I'm sure someone will point it out if I'm way off. But in general - even though it's definitely an impressive accomplishment - I think it's probably not worth it outside the novelty of owning such a massive, complete run, which could draw a premium in and of itself from the right buyer.

Would be really cool if the complete set was sequentially numbered

In all my years of collecting Spectre, I've only ever found one copy of #54 in the wild. I have found a bunch of the last issue, but just one #54.

And its a really nice cover with alot of things going on. I think I might have found or seen 2 over the years. All those Spectres in the 50s/60s
are tough I rarely see any of them and the covers are fantastic.

LCS had a full run minus a couple issues for $65 but I didn't pull the trigger, but the 54 was in there...
