NYCC 2013 - It's Never to Early, Oct 10-13

531 posts in this topic

I had a question about the panels for anyone that was at NYCC last year.

I would really like to see the Walking Dead TV panel at 6:30PM on Saturday but am not sure how early I would have to get there to get in.

Last year they had a Walking Dead TV panel and I thought if I got there about 90 minutes before it started I would be OK. I was told that I was already too late. Apparently they let people camp out at the main stage instead of kicking everyone out after each panel.

While I would probably enjoy the Agents of Shield panel I am not sure I would want to wait from 10AM until 6:30PM at the main stage. This would also beg the question, if I leave to use the rest room can I get back in?

If anyone has some feedback I would appreciate it.

I go every year (usually as Ultimate VIP) Last year the Walking Dead panel line up started at 7:00am. If you REALLY want to see that panel this year, either start lining up in the morning OR pay off someone walking around with an Ultimate VIP badge who doesn't want to go to that panel (Ultimate VIP has guaranteed seating in the room, you can show up 5 minutes before the panel starts)

I assume it will be run similar to c2e2 which Steve also did.

Cash or credit and the art was posted on an over head projector with no visual inspection of the art before hand except what was seen on the webiste

Just doesn't seem worth that kind of wait.

I guess I won't be able to go to the Archer panel at 11AM either if the Walking Dead people are just camped out at the main stage all day.

I suppose I will just have to buy some comics instead.

Wife and I decided to go last year. There were a couple panels before that we wanted to see, so we probably got into the line about 3-4 hours before Walking Dead. We waited an hour or so in line and got in, but were some of the last people to do so -- the place was completely packed inside and no one was leaving. In the hour we waited in line, the line behind us must have grown by a few thousand people. No intention of doing that again this year and will avoid that theater like a plague on Saturday.

My flight leaves at 7;15am tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have to wait in the line to get in at 3pm. Wish someone could get me and my friend in early so I could check out the books! :)

Anyone? :)

Looking forward to tomorrow.

If anyone takes dealer wall pictures ( especially the GA stuff) it would be super appreciated!

Agreed. This will be the first year I haven't been to the show in awhile, so I'm looking forward to lots of pictures.

I agree, really like to see more "comic pics" singles, or wall shots with info on prices and whats being offered instead of all the costume pics for those of us that cant make the show.

I would love to see some Limited Edition Comix/Ardden booth pictures so I can make sure they are actually there and working and not just spending my money on a NY holiday! thanks.

I don't know there's a lot to be said for a NY holiday.
