Everyone is entitled to their opinion about their comics. Just because someone has a completely different opinion doesn't give you the right to bash them like that. TOTALLY uncalled for. :makepoint:

Where IS joe_collector, anyway?

I bought a collection of about 3000 books a year or so ago and at least half were canadian price variants.

How many marvel 95 centers? I think I'm around 100 or so, but would have to check...

There are plenty to go from there for 95 cent variants. Drop me a line with a want list for any titles you are chasing. I picked up a couple or so long boxes recently.

Well I can find them locally in the 50cents-$1 range, so I don't know if you're willing to sell in that area, haha.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. They were not my bag at all. I thought they were derivative & poorly written junk with mediocre, though classic style, art & just pretty boring in general.

lol who are you??

do you shop at Eides or NDC, Pittsburgh comics, Phantom of the attic or what??

honestly dude, every word you say is complete garbage.

some of the guys joke about a character that sounds like you.

Well, that's a bit over the top, wouldn't you say? He's welcome to his opinion, as unpopular as it is.

So when that fellow comes on that notes 1st appearances in preview comics, he probably should get this same fair treatment we are now focused on? That is a good thing.

I had a lot of them, I cut that collection down a lot and I am still selling it off lol. I just put a vision and scarlet witch complete run of 1-12 all price variants in my sales thread a a few days ago, there was a ton of runs like that in there.

Both got the same treatment. No one was told they couldn't say what they wanted.

Disagreeing with someone and telling someone 'every word you say is complete garbage', is two completely different things.

Even in respones to the 'every word you say is complete garbage', the posts I read here were straightforward and polite in their delivery.

What point are you trying to make?

He's been treated fairly. His point has been vigorously opposed without any ad hominem attacks, to my recall.

Pittsburgh Comics is awesome, as are NDCs, Duncan Comics, etc, but Eide's is the worst comic shop I've ever been in.

Except for one guy, the comic employees are all "Comic Shop Guy" and I never leave there not feeling like I've been disrespected by them.

They must only treat the high-rollers well because they are a bunch of jerks.

Example : Was purchasing a 8.5 Swamp Thing (1972) #1 just because I'm a Wrightson fan, didnt really care about high grade. Employee in the background : Why would you buy that? Can't you afford the 9.4?

Now I'm in financial management, and pull down a pretty decent salary but I didn't bother to call him out on it, but that's the the typical transaction with them. I always hear them saying similar things to other customers as well, so I haven't been back there for over a year now because they aren't worth it. F' them....

They had a nice Suicide Squad #11 there for me on Friday for $3.50.

Found two copies of #12 that were pretty nice for cover, and a #11 that looked pretty good in the bag/store lighting. I get home and take it out and there is a huge crease on the FC knocking the book all the way down to like a 5.0 IMO....

I have to agree. I have yet to run into a true villain here.

Sold one for $40 at the Leesburg show on Sunday. Young woman came in and was GIDDY - no one else had one.

Note, that's for 2 books. $20 for both those is a bargain.

I sold my last copy #17 for $40 a couple of weeks ago as well. There is still demand for it at shows as it is harder to find.

Harbinger #1 CGC 9.4 copies are fetching $89+ and have a good number of watchers. Normally I wouldn't care but there are four various graded copies all bubbling up to the top of the list on Lyria's modern age list so it seems like a legit hot book. Let me get my popcorn out and see how high future 9.6's and 9.8's will go.

My pizza crrrap copy has no coupon in it. I'm curious to see how much that will matter with sales during this warming trend.
