Powerful, painful, with a palette you certainly don't see much in use in these type of studies. Green evokes a feeling of abundance and is associated with refreshment and peace, rest and security. It can represent new beginnings and growth. And yet in this scene it casts a surreal glow, maybe distances us into a fugue state where we can observe and detach along with the men while still empathize with Her. The artist is Harry Anderson, not the comic book artist but an American illustrator.
