I read reprints of probably 75% of the EC line about 25 years ago but slowly started buying originals over the last 2 years. I mentioned a bit back that I'm drawn to the early issues that have the "Introducing A New Trend" boxes on the covers. They have a pattern: the first two issues of a title go with "Introducing", and the third uses "Featuring". This is true of Vault, Haunt, Crypt, and Weird Science, but with Weird Fantasy it's different. There we get the first two, but we don't get the third until issue 6! Here is Weird Science 14 (#3). Here is Weird Fantasy 6 My hypothesis is that the covers were intended to be released one directly after the other, but someone got nervous about it at the last minute, and decided to save the WF cover for later.
