I've just thought of an interesting, analytical side project for Nick / Bosco, which follows on from a post I made in the Water Cooler thread.

Factoring in population differences, can you see a significant increase in ticket sales for Dr Strange, especially Imax 3D, in the US states which have legalised cannabis?

Something a bit different, anyway.

Cannabis, no - LSD, - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That trippy?

Parts of it, definitely.

Considering the length of an acid trip compared to that of a movie, I hope those that decide to dose have a designated driver. :wishluck::)

They COULD always opt for some DMT instead. :)

I would love to see more reviews about the movie and less talk about box office numbers.

All these movie threads are turning into lame shareholders meetings.

I actually agree with this pretty strongly, I look forward to more talk about how they handled the characters and story.

Like I would trust any of the Magpies around here for an accurate review of a comic book movie lol

I can see it now:

"Dr. Strange" -- HUGE in Denver!

Yup. I can imagine the next Mile High newsletter :

Just been watching Dr Strange on Imax 3D and, as we used to say, back when I discovered the Edgar Church collection, it blew my mind. Afterwards, I dropped some peyote and went on a week-long vision quest across the Rocky Mountains. I fondly recall a debate I had there with some eight-foot-tall woodchucks about the nature of reality itself.

same for the Ditko influences. hope they found a good actor to play the Ancient One. :)

He's an ancient pair of boobs now with the Marvel suits' white-washing, so it's now a she.

But on the bright side, Interstellar Overdrive made the sound track (from an old Pink Floyd album) - they go way back the Doc and Floyd.

And she plays the part perfectly.

How is this even possible?

She plays the part on the screen perfectly. I have no problem with them changing the gender of the character from what was in the original comics.
