I really love dinosaurs and have wanted articulated ones for a REALLY long time.  This week I learned Mattel has been creating highly-articulated 1:18 scale dinosaurs for most of 2022 under a line they call "The Hammond Collection," and within the last few months they released most articulated dinosaur fans' holy grail of a highly-articulated Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I'm all in on 1:12 scale, so I was immediately disappointed to learn that the first articulated Rex was in a different scale.    But I bought one today anyway since they're currently in almost every Target in America.  Still trying to decide if I like the 1:18 scale, but I certainly get why they did it.  Creating dinos in twelfth scale is both expensive and a HUGE space hog once you get to the larger dinos, so the 1:18 scale just makes more sense for them in the same way that it makes more sense for Star Wars and the bigger GI Joe vehicles.  Still need more time to play with the articulation range and absorb how good this new Mattel Rex is, but while I'm unsatisfied with multiple aspects of the articulation I definitely love him already and he does seem to be the best-articulated Rex to date.

Here he is below with a few 1:12 scale figures and Mattel's previous barely-articulated Colossal T-Rex.  If you're unfamiliar with the Colossal Rex he's the only one I'm aware of that's in something close to twelfth scale, although he's slightly large for that and is more in the 1:10 or 1:11 scale.

Dude, the Bop Bag and game are awesome.  
I think I'd add those to my collection.

2nd Table Top. 

I love the game, but I have to say this is my least favorite from the group.  

The sound is quite annoying and loud beyond the opening song.   The graphics are terrible compared to Donkey Kong.  They made the star character smaller than nearly everything else. 

This also is probably in the least favorable shape. I'm going to clean it up, but the labels aren't the greatest.   

I'm guessing the back is an old sticker that the owner applied (not factor).  Nevertheless, it's pretty cool. 

It does work well.   Comes with the power adapter.  

This version is straight US (not Canada).

That Bop Bag is...surprisingly heavy, haha!

My Pressman games collection is coming along nicely now. Got a complete Under Siege and another that's like 99% complete (missing just the instructions, I think). My Alert needs a new Havok figure and it's missing 2 cards (one from each set), but I don't know which 2 cards are even missing yet. This Crisis in the Danger Room is complete, thankfully. Still on the lookout for a Deck the Mutants...

Had this as a kid.  Loved this as a kid.  Not enough to track one down, though.  The sticker on the back was not on the original.

One side is GI Joe and the other side is Cobra.

The thing is that when it comes to the Nerf guns that they are at least modeled after an iconic weapon from the priority like the Mandalorian rifle or the Aliens blaster. 

This a normal nerf gun with GI Joe branding deco.   

I would have selected the classic laser rifle modeled after the M1.
