Comics was always my first choice and bought my first Silver Age Book when I was about ten in the mid 1980's. You have some mighty nice GA books, since you gravitate more towards that era. I say the three best hobbies are comics, cards(sports and non-sports) and video-games. There will be a correction at some point but does anyone honestly think the book is going to depreciate 50%? I think it's more likely that we see a small drop off and people hold on to their copies because they are unwilling to sell them at a loss (e.g. Hulk 1). As shady and crooked as his past is/was, he said some things decades ago that kinda made sense. 1) There will be a $X,XXX,XXX book before the new millennium. 2) The spread between MC and non-MC books will increase dramatically in prospective years 3) The value/price point disparity between low grade and high grade books will be astronomical (in the old days books were priced by Overstreet...remember this pub...and VG would normally go for 30 to 40% of a VF/NM price, FINE 50 to 60%, etc..). I have also stressed about buying non-chipped copies in the past. Most of my copies had no MC, I had a few that I did but that time I really didn't take MC into account. Prices are astronomically high and tough to gauge the market fro chipped copies. Only way to find out is to put one up for auction, which I may do. Guardian Comics Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 It probably doesn't help either that wrong information is being sent to GPA in regards to sales figures. i just learned today without a shadow of a doubt that a recent sale of an AF #15 is now reflected on GPA at a sale price, higher than what was actually paid. Anyone else notice this? Are you seeing some sales from one auction being reported while others are not? From what I can see none of the record sales have made it to GPA yet.
