In all honesty, I believe we will see a bit of both, but based upon some of the stratospheric prices that we have seen on most of these Promise Collection books, I strongly believe we will see a whole lot more of the latter as opposed to the former. This was also clearly the case with the other major complete pedigree collection to be graded and brought complete to market all at one time (i.e. the Billy Wright Collection) as the prices on most of those books dropped when brought back to market and has only now started to head back into positive territory nigh some 10 years later. Without this current crazed pandemic driven marketplace we are currently in, it's quite likely that some of the Billy Wright books might possibly still be sitting in the red right now. These are the two I purchased: I think that the Bomber 3 is an underrated cover. The American solider puppet decking the Japanese soldier puppet makes it a WWII cover, and the death figure (which is not a puppet!) makes it a horror cover. I see the cover as a metaphor: soldiers are puppets controlled by powerful, indifferent forces. It isn't a cover that can be taken in at a glance, so I don't think that it will ever take off; the market seems to value simplicity. Even though I like the cover, I paid a heavy penalty due to the fact that it is the highest-graded copy right now. I would have been happy with a non-pedigree 8.0, but I couldn't find one. GreatCaesarsGhost
Either the rust on the bottom staple has penetrated to the back cover, or the book was stacked on top of another rusty staple book. still, my guess is $150k jimjum12 and Mmehdy

GreatCaesarsGhost
For 5 months I’ve waited for the Promise Cap 37 to come to market. I can’t even begin to tell you. I would have mortgaged the house for this one. I’d already planned out my acceptance speech. But then the image went up. It's just a li'l ol' bindery tear . . . nothing a few dabs of wheat paste couldn't mend. The Mile High books have proved that comics with wheat paste at the top and bottom of the spine can still get universal labels, so just CPR it (Crack, Paste, Re-submit). Badger
If it makes you feel better, by Overstreet standards, 9.2 can have up to a 1/8" bindery tear. This looks really close to that size. I admit it is not ideally situated in the slab but still in grade by the width of hen's teeth. szucchini and ThothAmon 1
