And to clarify your information that you're a little wrong on.......you aren't really just calling out KCO as a fan boy and biased.......because in this post you said, "There is a defense to everything and you're obviously a fan boy of Alex.  And most of you're that are on here and that's fine.  The days of having a non biased fair forum seem to be flying out with the wind".

The Great Domo :acclaim:

I just want to apologize to everyone If I seem a little hyped as I have not really slept much in months from dealing with my own family issues and traveling back and forth. I apologize to KCO comics for calling you a fanboy to Alex (honestly I was a fan boy of Alex during his selling thread because he has dope ss comics and he and I share a lot signature likes; so I'm disappointed our relationship has deteriorated to this level). I know you mean well my friend as do I. I am a fanboy to X-Men myself! And having said all that this predicament is much of my doing as I fell off the earth as I think many of you would also to help your family, but that is here nor there or an excuse. And if I offended Alex, I'm sorry bud! Just come on here and let's clear the air , my friend.

The reason why I want to get back to the forums as a non probation member because I enjoyed buying on here and gaining lots of knowledge from the other forums and that information is priceless. Thank you all !

thank you MAGNIFICENT DOMO :foryou:

Nobody is saying you don't have a right to file a PayPal claim.  Did you have to do it now?  Was your time limit for filing a claim about to expire?

Because I'm saying that it's like talking out of both sides of your mouth.  Saying that you are wanting to work things out and then filing a PayPal claim at the same time........that's like telling someone you want to be friends and then pimp slapping the snot out of them.  If you can't see that, then I don't know what to tell you.

This is concerning and something that @AlexH needs to come in here and address.

Awesome Domo,

Yes, I only filed because you all know how erratic I have been on here at anytime I could be gone for a prolonged time and the PayPal limit was set to expire in mid November; so with my wacky schedule I'm on a time crunch. I get it. The PayPal claim is for the first order that I paid for and me wanting to work it out = paying now asap;  is for the second order the main reason to the probation nomination. I have asked Alex for some kind of partial so I can re slab the slabs that we can agree on that are not as described. The PayPal claim was filed again, because I'm approaching their reasonable time line.

For the record, there is NOTHING reasonable about filing a paypal claim 5 months after you received the books. This kind of nonsense is why a lot of people have stopped using paypal.

After reading this thread and your responses @Golden Pete I can't imagine why anyone on here would ever deal with you again. You don't get to leave for months, file a paypal claim, and demand partial and unidentified refunds on books you received months ago. You had a problem with the books you received? You needed to address that 5 months ago. To open a paypal claim, say you'll make payment on the remaining books, and say we'll work it out later on the first books while the paypal case is open is bizarre.

Here's what you should have done. When you received the books, saw the bugs, didn't like the spots on the cases, you should have told Alex you wanted a refund and returned the books. None of this holding books for ransom with an outstanding paypal claim.

And ranting about how Alex hasn't sent you the second invoice. You were gone and not responding to Alex for months.

This whole thing is just nonsense.

The good news is a lot of you that sell big books do deal with me and that won't change. I just don't do it on this site because of my current predicament.

IF that canada post claim is in fact related to the package you received then that is beyond stupid!

@AlexH @Golden Pete

My personal view is that this transaction is beyond saving. My advice would be send the books back and get a refund for what you paid. Then both of you go your separate ways and learn from this fiasco.  2c

I know right. I just want to get off this probation list; so whatever works. In the meantime...I'm buying from a lot of you sellers on other sites with no issues.

Thank you everyone here! And if you don't want to deal with me in the future after I eventually get off this probation list it is your choice and your free to do so. This situation is one big mess. However, in the future it will all work out

You're not going to like my opinion.......but here it is anyway.

I think you just need to eat the cost of reholdering these books.

Your personal issues might have been out of your control.......but they are still YOUR personal issues and have nothing to do with AlexH.

Coming in here and demanding re-holdering fees or a complete refund 5 months after receiving the books sets a bad precedent.

I appreciate your opinion! and I do not have a problem with it! I respect it!

In most transactions they are private, but this one is out in the public eye; and I appreciate your opinion.

In time, I just want to get off this probation list because I believe its just that a probation.

Hey Domo,

I have always said my personal issues were personal issues btw as you already know. I never made an excuse for that and now I'm paying for it which is how it should be. Look at my posts you will see I didn't make any excuses just stated the facts and I'm driving on moving forward

I buy a lot of books out there in the real world and this is just one small minute transaction. And since I have been back I have been answering virtually every post here whether I agree with it or not, because it's about moving forward ; understanding and respecting other members opinions and eventually getting off probation here.

Understood........but expecting someone to offer a lifetime guarantee on purchased books for defects that are easy to see just doesn't seem right.

Just as the Paypal claim to force the issue doesn't seem right.

I would see it a little different if it was raw books that had hard to identify restoration that wasn't discovered until the books were CGC graded months later.  But that's not the case here.

And it's not like it was hidden restoration that was discovered later.  These were all issues that could be easily identified as soon as you received the books.

Who's offering a lifetime guarantee? Are you offering a lifetime guarantee on your books? Count me in!

I would answer the forcing PayPal comment to you in private over a beer. I'll be honest as a seller (example); If I have someone filing a PayPal request or ebay claim I would personally have no issues because if they're filing they obviously have a reason and even as a seller If I agree with the reason or not it would not bother me. This is my opinion and only my opinion and this works for a lot of successful companies out there, but I take returns all day long for product why? because it's good business . If I take care of a customer now and return a few bucks to him or her or do a partial to make him happy that customer at some point will return and either spend more money with me or tell his friends and family. Now if I alienate that customer and say F you my policy is this no returns! Then he won't return

Again, I can go on long rant here about customer service or returns, but that's just my opinion and that's all it is. Ebay, Payapl and most major long running companies share my belief for the most part, but many of those on these boards might not feel that same way and that's fine. It's your opinion and you can feel anyway you want.

I have purchased  lots of slabs over these past several months and I use those experiences and if say this experience or the slabs don't match up to the quality I should receive then that's my own personal preference.
