All eleven with white pages. That’s 49 out of 49 for the OO Silver.

Now that the cutoff is here, looks like there will be 18 Truckee Meadows in the June Signature auction at Heritage. Fifteen silver age and three golden age.

Most will be Saturday and Sunday books. But I would guess 3-5 in the Thursday session.

Grades for the Silver:

9.6 x3

9.4 x3

9.2 x3

9.0 x3

8.5

8.0

5.0

All with white pages. Eight DC and seven Marvel

The three golden age are 8.0, 6.5, and 6.0.

There are 11 Truckee Meadows books in the May 2 weekly, searchable (as all of them are) by “Truckee Meadows”.

In retrospect I wish I’d kept this one. It was the 3rd best copy. But pages just as white, colors just as bright, and darn nicely centered.

Get one of your employees or a buddy to bid for it on your behalf so that you can pay full market price for the book and see what it's really worth at the same time.  lol

Almost forgot. I can actually share this pic from March now.

Low res version for now. I’ll post the hi-res when the items go live.

This pic wasn’t nearly as nerve-wracking as the April pic holding five slabs at once. Thankfully they let me sit down for the final pic that includes all eight (April 5, June 2, and September 1).

Great photo LH!

Both copies will bring record prices I suspect, I think the 9.0 will crack $500k

Btw what's your height? You look very tall

At one point I was two meters. But cartilage compresses over time. I’m barely over 6’ 5” these days.

You’ll find me standing in the back of a few group pics from forum dinners a million years ago. Including the dinner the night @greggywas crowned Short-Shorts.

Congrats to the winner of this HGOOSADC this evening. Sold for $2640. Previous high sale of this issue in any grade was $837 (back in 2013).

Who says DC Silver collecting is dead?

Are you old enough to have shrunk yet, or have you had some back issues?  Usually people who shrink before they're 70 have had something physical that caused it like overexertion or injury.  Examples of overexertion or injury include Arnold Schwarzenegger (used to be about 6' 1.5", now is under 6 feet), Dolph Lundgren (used to be about 6' 4.5", now is under 6' 3"), or Hulk Hogan (used to be about 6' 6", now is under 6' 4").  Celebrities who shrunk apparently just due to age are Donald Trump (used to be about 6' 3", now is about 6' 1") and Bill Clinton (used to be about 6' 2", now is about 6' 0").

My dad and I are almost exactly the same height at 6' 1.5"; he's 73 and I'm 51.  I keep waiting for him to shrink, but I don't think he has at all, and I don't think I have either because my girlfriend is 6' 1" and I'm just as slightly taller than her as I was a decade ago.  So I'm surprised you think you have shrunk about 1.5 inches--did you have a back injury?

Most studies show the average person loses a half inch per decade after age 40. I lost a half inch in my 30s and a full inch in my 40s.

My friends actually haven’t noticed it as much because my posture is better now than it was when I was young, so I routinely stand closer to my full height rather than slouching.

A buddy of mine from high school was 6’9” at age 22. He’s below 6’7” now. No injury. Just luck of the draw and battling the only truly undefeated enemy, gravity.

These books are fantastic and deserve a pedigree, although that ship has sailed. Can’t remember if the collection contains early Showcases?    Im curious how these unicorns hold up to the apparent stagflation in the economy. Probably very well.
