Just arrived - my favorite Robin by one of my favorite artists!!

Planning to frame it with the Batman I just purchased (which I should have in a week or so) so that I have the quintessential version of both characters (or at least my favorite iterations of them) in my lifetime sharing a frame together!

Just received some Semeiks/Dell Lobo pages today from Val Semeiks.

The first 3 are from Lobo #8. I already have a page from that issue, so now I'm making it a mission to find more.

The next 5 are from Lobo: A Portrait of a Victim #1.

The last is from Lobo/Dredd: Psycho Bikers vs the Mutants from Hell.

Congrats! I loved Portrait of a Victim, that was a great one-shot.

Didn't know which thread to post this in; but thought it would be appreciate here:

Wayne Vansant, Mark Bagley & Joseph Linsner were at Free Comic Book Day in Marietta, GA (Dr. No's Comics). -- Mark Bagley and Joseph Linsner were sketching for free, so the line moved slow. (Wayne Vansant was drawing for kids & taking commissions). -- Nancy A. Collins & Kristina Deak-Linsner were also there, but are primarily writers, and this is an Original Art thread.

Bagley was funny. After a few initial requests he shouted, “last Venom of the day” … he’s eliminating characters as he goes …

After a few Green Goblins he shouted, "last Green Goblin for the day."

Here's a few pics of other people's acquisitions:

I mainly collect "sketch cards," and will scan + add my pickups later.

Great people, great event.

Just added this Wolverine Cover 2 by Esad Ribic to my CAF.
Was looking for an older cover by him, there are so many details in his earlier work and for me this was a perfect example.
Also, I totally feel for poor Logan, he just wanted to read a book, drink a cold beverage and relax.
And as it is a Monday morning, I thought it fits .

Here's a Brian Bolland preliminary cover for Wonder Woman #91 (1994). He went with a different pose on the published cover that showed more of their faces and less of their feet, which are sort of a no-win artistically. Draw feet poorly, and people complain about anatomical errors. Draw them well, and people say, "Wow, feet are really weird!" The final cover also showed them actually striking at each other with the maces, whereas this image is more a wind-up.

I like this one much more than what they went with.
