Here's something fun for Memorial Day weekend...

My all-time favorite Cerebus page, the famous strip-tease scene from issue #10!  Red Sophia seductively sucks a bottle and strips off her top but Cerebus is unfazed...and his response is priceless lol  No other Cerebus scene has been written about or laughed at more.  Featured in numerous blogs (ie, “A Moment of Cerebus"), fanzines and news journals, and discussed in "A Very Brief Modern History of the Chain Mail Bikini."

Creator-artist Dave Sim later remarked, “When Red Sophia whips off her chain-mail bikini top and Cerebus deadpans, I just hoped that it would sell enough copies that I could keep it going.”  Well, it certainly worked...Cerebus went on to 300 issues, one of the most successful independent comics ever published.   Enjoy!

Witchblade vintage comic con cover: #40 preview by Keu Cha. Board size is 15x20", image size is 11x17"

Luckily a friend saw this on eBay for a good price, it was not tagged as a Witchblade so I missed it. Thanks James for buying this and sending this piece to my growing Witchblade collection.

I have been looking for an example of Brent Anderson from Strikeforce: Morituri but did not expect to get the example. The pencils for the cover of issue #20 feature all fifteen team members introduced over the previous two years, many of whom died during the course of this military sci-fi series by Peter B Gillis.  The inks existed (and hopefully still exist, somewhere) as a separate vellum overlay.

His work is shockingly good in-hand. Congrats! There are very few pages out there to begin with, and they rarely come available.

Fantastic Four Giant Size #3 (1974)— an epic opening title DPS by Rich Buckler and Joe Sinnott features the 1st app of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (War, Pestilence, Famine and Death) returning after centuries to wreak havoc on Earth once more!
