Still compared to Marvel Silver Age stuff? Flash is still cheap and you gotta love that! Arguably the most important character of the Silver Age, our Flash is still affordable. And such great covers by our Master, Infantio! Marvel had Kirby, but for my money Infantino had more style and grace. More accurate to the human figure. True works of art! How many of us here are lucky enough to own some of his original art? I can only dream of owning a page!

Yeah Stan created huge Fandom and made Jack the King. Cinf is not only under appreciated but for many Marvel fans he is the face of their hated enemy. As I always say, no Cinf/Flash no Spider-man, and dam knows what Kirby would have wound up doing.

That cover grows on me all the time ..

about the story I promised on that splash page. Back in mid 2018 a fellow boardie here and huge Flash fan told me someone was selling the entire first chapter to 140, which they had picked up as a young fan from Julie. Myself, my friend and a few others all expressed interest in certain pages. At that time a very large unbudgeted project at work was at mid billing stage and as I had not received any answer, (none of us had) I made him an offer for the lot. Costed out each page. After a little time he came back with a counter offer and we agreed. Problem was he is in Chicago and I am in Sydney Australia. For any art over US$2,500 the sender needs a special US export permit. That would have meant sending several packages at around US$100 each and/or undervaluing them for insurance. OR as I was in Seattle 9 months later taking a flight to Chicago to pick up. Luckily we had a mutual acquaintance in Harley Yee and by sheer luck the seller (Gary Calombaro) was meeting him for dinner that week (the timing of one of Chicago's big Con's). I offered Harley a delivery fee, and picked them up 9 months later from Harley's hotel room in Seattle. No-one ever said collecting comic stuff was easy.

Bought this back in 2011 in Brisbane off H.A. when nice books didn't need to cost the collector large amounts of money. Miss those days.

I mainly collect the Rogues and there were a few in this lot.

I haven't bought a flash comic in years, I get distracted collecting other books but I'm always got my eye out for any bargains. I think it's because I bought these years ago and all up my Flash's cost me roughly $300 U.S and because I picked them up cheap I've not invested a lot to keep hunting and I'm easily distracted by other collecting goals when it comes to comics.

#161 might be due for an upgrade.

Very nice copy of 129 there! Famous cover, classic issue and at 8.0 that deserves at least 3 dancing bananas!?! What say you Flash Fans?  Congratulations!!!

My pitiful copy of 129 was once used face down as a seat protector for a secret clubhouse. Or so I imagine... He had to put something down on the dirty floor to protect the seat of his britches or else his mom would know he'd been hanging out at the clubhouse.
