Here is my contribution to the comic room thread. Its a little cluttery, and I have a ton of other stuff tucked away that I don't have room to display. Those items will show up when I ship the oldest off to college next year!! Enjoy!

Awesome room! I need to get my room organized, it resembles a storage unit.

+1 super SUPER sweet room.

I really like your lego. Having three of the TIE fighter and R2 to mirror each other is pretty smart but also pretty $$$. I've been looking for that podracer set for a while, I was pretty young when the second trillogy came out so I really like those movies (contrary to popular opinion). I'm also looking for a N-1 set for cheap.

Having a child basically put my comic room on hold for the next 18+ years, but I do get a half a wall in the basement:

Damn - an expensive wall :applause:

That is one hell of a wall. I think I'd trade in my entire room for just your half wall!! Nicely done!

I am 15 minutes from your offices, and I now know your name.

If you ever want a tour of the studios, just let me know.

So I am a designer studying DSLR videography and thought I'd try out a new slider/dolly set-up and film my office cubicle. I got some cool comics (to me) and other things in there. Check it out!

Nice! What is your DSLR set up?

I have a Canon 60D with the Magic Lantern hack and a 24-105mm L lens.

Nice setup. The 60D's vari angle must be great for shooting video. I don't shoot vid, just stills. I shoot full frame

The flippy screen is very crucial to me for video which is why I haven't gone the full frame route. From my research, anyway, video quality is about on par when comparing the 60D with, say, a 5D MKII and since I do more video than photography, I'd rather save the money and buy more lenses :)

What do you use to mount the books to the wall.

Plate hangers from Michaels/A.C. Moore.

Won't those books by the window fade with that direct light?

There is 0 direct sunlight in the room. I know the pics make it look really bright, but it isnt at all. Even the light coming through the window doesnt hit the books on the opposite wall.....you can see that from the one pic. The ones next to the window get no sunlight at all. No worries of fading!

I am just more curious why you value PGX over CGC especially knowing all their history being a CGC board member?

Seem all your books are pretty much PGX.

I have 6 CGC books, and I guess 8-9 PGX books. At one point I was only concerned about price, and turn around times. At the time I got those PGX books graded PGX was touted for having better on both ends of those concerns. After doing some research and not being only concerned about cost, I would now never send on to PGX. It's amazing what a little research and education will do to shape your preferences!
