Peanuts #4 - the Dell run. This is the first Peanuts titled comic book in the run which started with #4 and went to 13. Four Color 878, 969 and 1015 are considered 1, 2 and 3. I no longer own this book but I would buy it if I ever came across it. I bought this raw at a convention in Michigan in 1994-1995. It was the first Peanuts book I ever bought and it started a passion for me. I consider it the best Peanuts cover of all time. I was also the person that had it slabbed.
If you have it or know who has it, I would be interested in making an offer.

That was a nice grab the other day. If I wasn't so deep into the warren stuff I was thinking about it. Charlie Brown is still awesome all these years later. I actually picked up and enjoyed the Charlie Brown goes to Scotland book last year. Reminded me of the Bon Voyage Charlie Brown movie from when I was a kid!
Yes, thanks. Considering I sold the 8.0 Bethlehem copy, this is a step in the right diirection.

That ufo theme in Tip Top 202 is a surprising departure. Very cool!
There is a robot story coming up in another issue.

The Elektra Assassin I have seen with his signature and sketch are fantastic. I'll be paying for one of those.

Happy Birthday dad.
For all the good and all the bad that were the most of Us
The smiles and sads along the path were filled with all the fuss.
Disney joy and corvette summer, home away from home
At times I find myself within and feeling all alone.
I hope you're well, aloft, on high looking down and me
At times I glance and squint the sun if only I could see.

Thanks for giving kudos to this cover. I have a nice copy of this issue as it highlights the color details Neal pursued in his early days at DC.

People tend to focus on keys and main stream titles but for me, the glory of Neal Adams has always been on its finest display through the 26 issue run of Superboy covers. It is almost as if DC said here you go, tell a story of a teenager in life and keep the Super Villain's out of it. Just focus on the boy, the Superboy, in a teenage body full of angst and hormones. Even if the chemistry is from Krypton kids are still kids on any world. I am 15 issues into this run and when finished, it will be my favorite Adams run.

The cover to Action Comics 425 is perhaps the greatest example of the kid inside myself; the reader, the collector, the one imagining being a super hero. Done by Cardy, it has stood the test of time. It captures every day life, kids and teenagers hanging out and dreaming of their favorite heroes battling it out and maybe even flying by. The mom watching over. The group-read and over the shoulder views while the youngest of all, the most Child is the one with vision to see the real hero; always the most innocent with the most vision. This could be any where, at anytime, children and kids longing for adventure, longing for escape to a fantasy world when all along reality is flying by if they could only step up to greet it.
Blessed are the heroes.

A Dale Roberts sales thread.
A Dale Roberts sales thread is a crazy place. Books are plentiful, well graded and well priced and buyers are lurking every where. You must have tricks, internet speed and hot keys to win. What most amazes me is selling multi-hundred dollar books like candy the day after Christmas, during the afternoon, you have something special. And if there is a book left unsold, you can bet its part of the Land of Misfit Comics. It should pull its own staples and jump into the nearest fire barrel.
Good times, hitting the refresh and waiting for the gold, or silver or bronze.
Thanks Dale.

Peanuts 1 - Gold Key run
The second run of Peanuts lasted 4 issues. They reprinted covers from the first run. This cover is from Four Color 878.
I was lucky enough to be able to buy the CGC 9.6 copy. I paid for the privilege, but I have not regretted it. I even have an under copy that I should likely sell.
