I also regret selling my Baker digests, I had 2 copies of #7 and a #9 at one point. Great copies of some outrageously rare and fun comics! Someone should start a Digest Thread... These beauties could get overlooked in this Baker thread.
comicnoir
Here's my APATLS 1 I flipped through for the first time in years. Lots of Canteen Kate stories. Edited April 30, 2017 by comicnoir

Thinking of his ACG covers from that period, it might be him. But I'm not very good at figuring out things like that.

Quality inks are generally heavy and stiff, neither of which are attributes of Whitney who, by this time, was working fairly frequently for ACG. I suspect the usual Quality inkers were employed for Matt's pencils, but I don't know who all their stable included besides Ward and Kotzky. Robot Man
Yeah, it must be the inking on these. I've only got a couple and have had chances for others. They just seem to have a different look than the St. John's which I prefer more. Might be the coloring too. The St. John's seem to have richer colors as well. I've never been too inspired to get Baker's Quality romance books. In addition to the art not being as appealing to me, the post-Code stories are not up to the standards of Dana Dutch's work for St. John. sacentaur
