bellrules
I think that someone must have the research and yes they should be identified. Hopefully soon.
Shark
I managed to pick up 2 more Whitman issues today that are considered "scarce" - Donald Duck #225 and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #484. Found them at an antique mall in Lena, Illinois.

Flee-Marquette
Here are some Whitmans still in the bags. Most of these are the last issues of that series circa 1982. For example the Turok is #130, Doctor Solar is #31.
juggernaut
Here are a few Whitmans that I have had over the years. I have more but I just got to find and scan them. I sold a few of these last year.
thehumantorch
Just found a Black Hole (Beyond The) #3 in one of my boxes. Approx. value and rarity? Grade is 8.5 but would probably press to 9.2. Not that I've ever pressed a comic. Edited October 13, 2009 by thehumantorch
bellrules
1 to 3 are common, 4 is the only rare one in the title. Here's a scan of one still sealed in the bag. Edited October 13, 2009 by Bellrules1

Found them at an antique mall in Lena, Illinois. I was wrong on these. It ends up that both are just considered "uncommon". These issues under the price variants ARE considered scarce though. Doesn't matter... they're still worth a lot more than I paid for them.

comicalgems
This thread makes me want to rush down to the LCS with all the cheap Whitmans and scoop them up. But then I remember that even if they are pristine they're still worth like $5.

kimik
Anyone have this one? I can't find a listing for it in the Overstreet. Give ya a quarter. It might be under Walt Disney's Peter Pan or something like that? I know the Cinderella issue I bought for my daughter had a weird name like that. Shark
Anyone have this one? I can't find a listing for it in the Overstreet. That particular issue is considered scarce. The 75 cent price variant for that same issue is considered rare.
