rainmaker Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 the 35 seemed a bit low considering how sharp the copy looked but about where expected and the 36 seems to have hammered with the CBCS discount. they were both beauties for the given grade. i think the 34 .5 incomplete that just hammered on eBay finished higher than this 1.0 tonight. pq is a big deal with these books. i also believe that pre-robins are collected by higher end collectors who have their sights on the other auction going on right now which dropped the interest pool a bit. I've been saying, for many, many years that Detective Comics #33 has some of the greatest potential there is amongst GA books. The historical significance of Batman's origin is impossible to overstate. If 0.5 copies are now pushing five-figures, that may finally be coming to fruition.
