do you guys think scalped being optioned by "WGN America" makes it more or less likely to succeed?

 

I feel like the bigger guys are more likely to drop something once started, but they also are more likely to spend the money necessary to make something successful. It kind of cuts both ways.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any AMC original series "hits" before Walking Dead came along, so maybe lightning strikes?

I think it's more likely to be made by the smaller networks than the big 4. I have no idea how much of a budget it takes to make good show. My favorite dramas on TV recently has been True Detective, Game of Thrones, revolution, Boardwalk Empire, and Black Sails. Each of these had a pretty good budget for various reasons wether it be the actors, effects, or the source material.

Not hot on Ebay yet, but i saw a couple of Invincible #44's sell for $10 over the weekend since it's Anissa (of the Viltrumites) 1st appearance. She's pretty terrifying and kind of hot. I could see this one taking off soon. It's a good cover for a 1st app. too.

 

So she's the one who rapes Grayson in Invincible #110? I scanned over a few pages but didn't catch her name.

Yup. she's popped up here and there since that introduction issue. I think with the #110 taking off this one will be hitting a spike soon. There are some relatively cheap copies on ebay at the moment, (like $5-ish + shipping) but i don't see that lasting once people start listing that out as her 1st app.
