Huh? It has always been a desireable cover but there are copies under $20 on ebay before shipping that look decent.

I see quite a few past sales for well over $100 so if people are starting to be desperate enough to put CGC 9.8s up for auction I can see why it's getting a lot of action (especially if it's only going for $83 in CGC 9.8).  Prices for slabbing are way up and CGC seems to still be strict so I'd not expect a $50 copy to pop up any time soon.

What is considered a "top all-time 9.8"?  If it's based on sale prices, my site doesn't have any dollar amounts, just CGC census data.

I'll say! I bought a lot of 30 or so of his covers in 2019. Those same books are worth close to triple what I paid then, when looking them up on an individual basis. And a few of his covers like the Planet Comics and Space Vixens issues are much higher now than a few years ago. Well deserved for a great artist who was not with us long enough.

It's crazy that in the top 50 books submitted, there's 1 indy (Spawn), 3 DC (Killing Joke, Omega Men 3 & Batman Adventures 12), and the other 46 are all Marvel.

This is a book I’ve made a point to grab out of the dollar box when I saw it.  I don’t have a huge number, but I probably have 6-7 copies.

My friends and I loved this book when it came out.  The crazy thing was that it had a $2 cover price in 1984, when a regular comic was 60 cents.  So I always got a kick buying it out of a dollar box after 35+ years of inflation.
