Need some new omnibus reading material. Since Bendis and Brubaker Daredevil are out of my price range. I've narrowed my choices down to

 

1. Fantastic four by Jonathan Hickman

2. Fantastic four by Lee and kirby vol. 2

3. Planetary

 

 

What would be your first choice?

Fantastic four by Lee and kirby vol. 2 all the way. Possibly the greatest run of the a Silver Age.

It's a great run, and I have a copy of the omni sitting on my shelf... But I do feel like I should wait until volume 2 comes out and then read them all together.

 

I don't think you'd be making a mistake with any of your choices - but I'd go for Planetary. Caved in and ordered mine on Friday.

I had my shop order the Planetary Omni for me on Friday.

 

The FF Vol 2 would be an awesome pick up too. How far up does it go? I assume it has 57-60 in it. Does it make it thru 77? 72-77 is an awesome arc as well.

I bought it, read it and decided ** and sold it.

 

Maybe the second half would make it more impressive in it's totality.

Anyone else felt Hickman's FF was overrated? I haven't read it myself, just curious. The reviews I've read considers his run the best FF since Kirby/Lee.

Anyone else felt Hickman's FF was overrated? I haven't read it myself, just curious. The reviews I've read considers his run the best FF since Kirby/Lee.

 

I didn't find it overated, just hard to follow month to month. I expect I'll enjoy it much more, all in front of me.
