Latest sale from Sunday for the CR-OW CGC 2.0 from Heritage was $33,600. This matches the March 7th sale of an OW-W CGC 2.0 from March 7th.

Any idea why did that sell for so much less than the 1.5 that was reported just a few posts before yours?

I would think the heavy chipping and poor eye appeal actually hurt it. The 3.0 on CC tonight met the same fate.

Another AF15 CGC 8.0 coming up for auction. With the last sale guess this one will be 500k and up.

This one looks to like a better copy than the previous one CC sold for. Loving the colors especially the greys.  I would think this copy would sell higher.

I was reading the description and it says that this is a Microsoft copy. Whatever that means?

Guessing 2.0's will be at 50k as a new norm soon enough if not already.

In a classic bulls vs bears debate - I am going to take the short.   Despite discussions around presentation of some recent under-performers, there have been enough recent sales across enough grades and enough different platforms for me to conclude we have hit a top.   At least for this bull run.   I am not predicting massive declines or winter is coming - but I think the rapid price increases are done for now.

- the comic connect results for the 8.0, 5.5 and the 3.0 were all 10-18% lower.

- heritage results have been flat for the past month.   A 3.0 closed this Sunday at 44k which is was 10% under GPA

- the Goldin results from early March were all flat/lower for a 5.5, 4.5, and a 2.5.   Most down in the 8-10% range from recent GPA

- The March CL results were mixed (a 6.5 was up vs a 2 year old comp, a 4.0 was down, and a 1.5 was up slightly)

The biggest recent positive was the huge 1.8 EBay sale which now seems a bit sketchy.   This is the same pattern we saw over the past 18 months with other books like X-men 1.     Not saying a gorgeous, high grade copy won’t buck the trend - but not the “work a day” copies that show up on heritage and CL every week/month.    Will be watching the 4.0 with interest on Heritage this week.  The last two 4.0 sales were 75k in Oct and 72k in Jan.

I would assume this matters a lot on the 4.0 you referenced, but the last two 4.0s you mentioned presented very nicely for the grade. The current 4.0 on HA has significant marvel chipping and doesn’t present as well. Not as big of an expert as others here but think that will result in a real discount versus those other 4.0s.

Right, the $78K high in Jan2022 4.0 that sold on CL Exchang had some MC, but I see above history that folks thought it presented well.  We'll see if AF15 has been flat or pulled back a bit since then.  But if the softer results since January were just a temporary pause (see that recent spike re 1.8 Sig Series for $43K on CL), that pending Heritage 4.0 could ultimately do well.  Or maybe it was just the sig premium.  (shrug)

The chipping was the culprit for that big drop in price. One that presents better without chipping would’ve fetched significantly more

Looks like @blazingbob's CGC 4.5 copy with no MC he had listed for $100k is no longer available for sale. I wonder if it sold or was moved elsewhere?
