BuscemasAvengers
Last one from today's haul: My Own Romance 68 (technically SA, I guess!); GCD has quite a lineup for this issue: Colletta, Baker (?), Maneely, Pike and Heath - wowsa. BuscemasAvengers
A few more books in today, starting with this Cowboy Romances 2 (1949). That's William Holden on the cover. Last story has Buscema art. Only 4 on the Census. Edited July 16, 2023 by BuscemasAvengers C. Spaulding, pmpknface and Yorick
Popular Post BuscemasAvengers
Romances of the West 1 (1949), with a 27-year old Yvonne De Carlo on the cover, and more Buscema art between the covers. I was told this copy once belonged to Jim Vadeboncoeur. Edited July 16, 2023 by BuscemasAvengers C. Popular Post BuscemasAvengers
The Romances of Nurse Helen Grant (1957). A tough Atlas to find, and a copy that I also believe was once owned by Vadeboncoeur. Popular Post N e r V
Only 5 on the census and I now own the two lowest graded copies… The good news is I’m at least working my way up the scale. Highest graded is only a 6.5. One of my favorite Harry Anderson covers. Jayman, comicjack, Point Five and 7 others

Now, with 23 universal and 3 restored, not as much. Still, a decent mid grade copy, very difficult to find in the wild. Congrats! Given how long there's been heat on the book and the prices, that's not a lot of copies. Qua-Brot

Similar to the unknown number of books which were never graded. Census is not the whole picture, just one point that can be compared. N e r V
I started collecting romance back in the 1980’s including Baker books. I don’t pretend to have a collection like our Dr. Love or others have but pretty sure if I ever started submitting my books some of those census numbers that seem low could change since I have a fair amount of dupes. I’ve just started this year submitting random DC romance books that I have in high grade. manetteska, jimjum12 and Yorick 2
