No, it's not simply that one person put in a lowball bid and another person rejected it.

 

If you put in a lowball bid and it's rejected - okay. End of story.

 

But if the seller then comes back later and, unprovoked, taunts you with their sale afterwards? That's even lower than the lowballer, IMO.

 

Is either one a "deadbeat"?

 

No.

 

"Loser"?

He kept senting me several messages BEFORE it was sold wanting to buy it for first 150

then 200. That same day I sold for 740 I emailed him. YES to gloat about making 740.

only because he was a "BLANK BLANK" with no brains and very unrealistic pricing.

Let's not forget i DIDN'T send you a message.... i made an offer, then you declined with you offer afterwords i made another offer with a message. The way I interpreted via the way you posted it on here as if i messaged you PRIOR to making the offer... which NEVER happened.

Not that Elektra101 behaved in a professional manner...he/she did not...but is it correct that you made a $150 offer on a book that hasn't sold for $150 since 2012, and has a current 12 month average price of $690, and a 90 day average of $700...? And followed it up with a $200 offer...?

 

If that is true, I'm not quite sure what ground you have to stand on, here.

 

It's still BUY IT NOW OR MAKE AND OFFER. it doesn't state anywhere on ebay that the offer has to be a certain amount. while at this point considering the movie is coming out next week, it might climb up in sales with the next few days. i still don't feel i was low balling him.

I have blocked Elektra101 as well as Donmeca2020 .

 

just a reminder of what went on with this and that it appears elektra101 is being blocked because they refused a lowball offer. Seems pretty lame to include them for that (but also understandable as it up to the guy making the list to make the call)-- unless there is additional screwy deeds that I am missing.

 

This is an example of why it is important to explain the situation and let people decide for themselves imo.

 

Why am i always being brought back into this???? seems to me like you have a personal issue..... or possibly your infatuated with me.

First of all- my comments were a simple summary of the situation with the caveat that I wasn't aware of more damaging info.

My point was that it is up to the reader to determine if they see something as being over the line. There is no cut and dry rule that pertains to everyone. You don't like the way they handled-- that is fine-- feel free to block them. One list is not the definitive block list-- it is subjective. Also-- it is not as if we voted on whether something is ever block worthy or taken any steps to verify the facts of all the EBAY BLOCK posts. This particular one did get fleshed out more so than most-- but it is not as cut and dry 95% of the time.

 

It is useful information sharing but ultimately on the user of the information to evaluate whether to block or not. That is why I prefer it when people offer as much detail as possible though in certain cases-- non paying buyers who never respond is a fairly good indication. Those rarely need to be looked into too deeply.

I understand what you're saying and agree - it's up to each to decide for themselves what's "over the line" or not.

 

I only added the caveat that was missing - the initial email exchange that began this whole saga.

It's not that some people are blocking elektra because they rejected a lowball offer - it's the taunting afterwards that some folks took to be over the line.

and it's quite funny if i recall your original post on here you came to put my username on here..... your salesman tactics are horrible. especially if you decide to go ahead and rant about it to someone who didnt buy or win your item.

 

as far as this list goes.... once your on it , your name never goes away from it. they put me on here ages ago before i even knew about itna it was all because i upset one of their members whom posts on this forum hourly..... ridiculous ? yes but thats how they operate here.

Buying a CGC sealed book and than asking for a return is obnoxious and deserves to be a basis for a block.
