On Preview Night, which I don't have tickets, do they set up the outside events, such as the area by Petco Park by the bridge and where the Gotham zipline/Simpsons events were last year? Looking to hit it Wed night w/ the family if it is set up. Can anyone recall if they go up Wed night or is it Thursday?

Thanks. 007

Iirc, they were setting up the outside things such as the assassins creed and the batman zip line on weds, but they weren't open until thurs.

Just found out I will be in San Clemente during sdcc. Are there any secondary outlets where I can get badges.

Wondering the same! Family is going to be in Carlsbad. Would be nice to score tickets. (and my apologies to johnenock for hijacking your request!!)

The only other avenue would be if you knew a dealer or pro who could get you a guest or exhibitor badge. There are no public secondary outlets and those that advertise are usually scams. CCI doesn't allow resell of badges.

There are tons of things to do around the con that don't require a badge though and just being near the convention center during the con is an adventure in itself if you've never been before.

Where is a good place to park at the convention center? Any place close?

After 25 straight years of SDCC attendance, I decided to pass this year.

I highly recommend reserving parking if possible, otherwise, you will be driving around in circles. Parking can be obtained here. The best spots were sold by lottery months ago.

Thanks, the email for them is now closed. I have been calling a few places to find parking with no luck. I might park a little ways away and take a shuttle/bus.

Considering last year we parked neart the Port Authority and took the train in, I'm very excited to have a place so close where I can park the car and essentially not have to worry about driving for the 4 days we'll be there.

Depending on what time you get to the convention, no need to pay for prepaid parking. I've had luck paying for parking up front at around $12 for covered parking walking distance to the convention.

What time did you find was best? 7:30/8?
