Just saw it, and really had a great time. I got to see my dream fulfilled; the JSA on the big-screen. Dr Fate and Hawkman both stole the show for me. 

Considering we went to a 10:30am showing on a Monday we weren't expecting many other people to be there, but there were about 20 others present. Right behind us were about a dozen mentally disabled people with their carers. They had a great time, and seemed to love the film. Their enthusiasm was contagious. A few of them absolutely LOVED Hawkman, which was great to see. 

Not a movie I'll watch when I'm feeling philosophical, but it's a fun time of 'watch things go smashie-smashie.'

I went with my friend and his 10 year old son. We thought it was a blast, and his son loved it. I agree, Hawkman and Dr. Fate stole the show for us.

The "China can save any flop" narrative is dead and gone.  

Furthermore, Dwayne has never been able to solo carry a movie, and this particular movie should have never been made.  

WB would have been wise to trust their initial instincts about ever making it at all.  There was never going to be a lucrative or successful sub-franchise coming from the puny $365MM worldwide grossing Shazam.

To ignore the critic Emmerich departure backlash would be dismissing quite a strong reaction influence.

Critics calling this the worst movie ever made is wild exaggeration. If you took time out to go see it - in a theater with other moviegoers - you would see what I mean. Not a deep story. But enough to support all the action that makes it fun.

At this point I'm just waiting for hbomax.  At first I was going to skip it altogether but I'll catch it there based on your and a couple other people's comments.   I saw don't worry darling is already on there.

It's worth a watch. If nothing else it's a fun popcorn movie. And who doesn't need that once in awhile?

Honestly, just wait for it to be available to stream for free.

There are worse things out there, but there are also way more better things that deserve actual monetary support.

What do you like in a CBM?

If you like basic plots that lead to a group of 'good guys' beating up 'bad guys', then you'll probably enjoy Black Adam a lot. It has some great fight choreography and VFX (though some of the VFX are bad at times).

If you want something more convoluted, something perhaps with a real meaning behind character motivations other than Good vs Evil, then you'll probably be somewhat bored.
