Look, I'm no prude. However, if I was a female collector, I would find this strategy to be offensive. If sellers used sculpted men in Speedo swimming trunks to sell comics, I would feel the same way. Again, I'm no prude. However, I don't think it's appropriate to use a person's sexuality to sell comics. With some other products, it's a fine line, but sexuality and comics just aren't related. Yes, this is despite the fact that many artists draw anatomically impossible women.

Here is why this is one of the dumber threads I've seen in a while:

#1 Supercollectorgirl  (IG) - She's a collector, not a seller and yes she can't seem to take a picture of a comic book without a low cut top which is why I stopped following her long ago. Attention-needy, but not selling.  

#2 Stefanie, owner of the Sanctum Sanctorum Comic shop near me - Some of the pictures have her in them, sure.  But this isn't "flaunting her assets" or whatever you're trying to make up here.

#3 Melissa, her and her husband own Rabbit Comics - And despite your later claim, no you have not seen her trying to sell books using her "assets".  She doesn't do that.

Not sure if these women make you insecure or what, but your claim, and your attempt to publicly humiliate them is weak and stupid.  

If they were ugly, would you have bothered...?

I believe that all censorship is basically a form of oppression. When certain members of our society try to control what we say, do, think or read, they're infringing on our freedom for their own agenda. Please keep that in mind when you start handing out heaping doses of 1950's morality...

I live by certain rules. One rule is that I do not try to control other people. I believe people can do whatever they like as long as it does not cause physical harm to anyone else. As to these types of sellers, I still hardly ever see anyone on eBay using women in their photos to sell comics. I'm a guy so yeah, scantily clad women don't offend me. I have never had the desire to buy a book from a seller that uses this tactic either. I don't think that it sells their books, but maybe I'm wrong. It's no different than hiring girls to dress up at comic conventions.

I remember standing outside church one Saturday evening. My sister and I had wanted to attend the new Saturday night mass but the ushers wouldn't let her in without a covering.  My sister was literally begging strangers to borrow a hankerchef or anything.   Even then, at age eight or so I realized how unfair it was for half the people to have different rules.
