Oddly, Wertham did not go after Archie comics with all their innuendo and double entendre on full display but sexualized content from other publishers he could not let pass.

Male and female forms have been used to sell comics almost since their inception.

Rob Liefeld is the only artist I know of who did not not try to sell comics by drawing bodies that we would want to see.

I'm here to admit that I was dead-wrong. W-R-O-N-G. I have stayed away from this thread because I felt that there was anything that I could do or stay that would make things better.

I have been accused of starting this thread because I wanted attention. I know the adage, "There is no such thing as bad publicity," but I hope all of you would realize that I wouldn't want to bring all this wrath and scorn upon myself just to gain attention.

I have been accused of being a liar. Fair enough. I feel that I was mistaken, but you say T-O-M-A-T-O, I say T-O-M-A-T-O.

All I can do now is to say that I am sorry, and I will strive to do better. I'm sure there are people who would prefer to see me flogged or to see me put in the stocks in the town square, but I honestly don't think that is done anymore.

I have admitted that I was W-R-O-N-G and I have apologized. I have done the best that I know how to atone for my ignorant statement. I hope that this is sufficient for most of you.
