A few highlights: I have always wanted a Cookeville with Leroy Mackie's signature on the cover. Another Cookeville that came from late in the brothers' collecting lives. Leroy entered the Army in 1950 and the collecting stopped. I don't recall having seen many crime comics in the collection. Got it years ago from Ritter at SDCC. My first Cookville. Steve mentioned at the time how rare it was to find one with a full signature. Yeah, I haven’t seen many Cookville crime books. I got this CDNP at a con out of a box with no pedigree notation. It didn’t occur to me at the time because I was buying it for the more obvious reason. A Recil Macon that Recil actually filled in his name and address in the coupon on the back cover. Got this from Steve at the same show. He made the same comment about it being the only one he had seen. He also commented how I had a “good eye”.
