I've had those days and nights too. Glad you picked up the later transformers too. They need more love, or I've got a lot of them to send in.

What were the regular books? Like star wars and battle star? Were those apart of the deal? 1st prints? I'm not familiar but I'm interested. Lot of great stuff there

In Canada we get mish mash CPVs on a lot of copper collections....most of us never paid much attention to them until suddenly speculators made a big deal about them 3-5 years ago.

Sorry I already tucked them away - I guess I didn't upload all the pics I took (Including 1,2,4,4,5 of the Punisher Mini Series) as well as a few other books of value...I'll go through them when I have time and chunk out/bulk the stuff I don't want or isn't worth selling individually.

Being a Wolverine fan, I started seeking out the 75 cent mini series and $1.00 Kitty Pryde series at least 15 years ago.

CPV or not, that Wolverine 1982 set has become absurdly expensive.  Part of me misses that time where I could go long-box hunting and pull multiple midgrade copies for under $10.

Way back in this thread I mentioned I was selling an original owner collection of comics.  We recently sold off the rest of it as a lot sale, and I knew the buyer and managed to work out a deal for all the remaining ASM and Xmens for my collection.  Certainly no steal, but a good price when you factor in the quantity of books and that these will go a good way toward my runs for both series.  I think that's it for my buying for awhile!

A couple of random items. The Tales from the Crypt candelabra works and is complete. Not bad for $15, but it scares my kids so I had to pack it up. The X-Men portfolio was only $8 for a used bookstore.

I posted this in bronze age Spideys, but I'm not sure that was exactly the right place. I was at a paper show and my wife spotted this ENORMOUS scrap book of all the Spiderman daily comic strips from Lee and Romita starting with the first strip in '77 and every strip every single day for what appears to be about 3 years. 3 strips per page except the full color Sunday's which each have their own, over 1000 strips in total with the book being about 4 inches thick. I'm sure there are more convenient ways to own these, but I think this is magnitudes cooler with the amount of effort required to assemble this.

My parents went antiquing, and my dad said he found this one random comic in one of the shops. He knew the owner, and he asked how much, and the guy said, "I don't know, a buck?" My dad said cool, he wanted it for his kid who like comics (bear in mind I'm 43, I think that makes it funny for some reason... ) The guy told me dad he could just have it for free, he didn't even know where it came from. I bagged and boarded it - nothing really special as a comic, but it's a fun story of how I got it, and I'm glad pops is looking out for me!

Tell him he has a good eye, and point out that any 20 centers are good for a buck!

That's where those X-Men prints I have are from. I have two of them loose and couldn't remember where I got them from.

I had one of those Crypt Keepers for years, kept him with my Halloween decorations. I think I finally sold him a few years ago, probably should have kept it. Very cool!

Pulled a Batman Adventures #12 and Mad Love One Shot out of a 4-for-$1 bin at an antique barn outside Granby, CT in 2012.

#12 is Long gone now, in fact, I sold it in less than a week for $600.

Mad Love is still kicking around in my random long box though…
