One thing I noticed is up until now my Modern pre-screens have been moving much faster than slow track submissions. The slow track that was just completed was SFG a week after my next pre-screen, so it seems to have reversed.

I have found that if it hits QC in the AM it is the same day, but if it is in the afternoon (and especially late afternoon) it is shipped the next day. Either way it is really close :)

Still in QC and it’s after 5pm. Hopefully I see the grades tomorrow.

It's standard operating procedure for production defects (such as miswraps, centering, etc.) to cause a huge dip in grade when grading trading cards.  This makes me wonder if card graders crossed over into the comic realm and are imposing the card standards on to the comics they are reviewing.

Interesting point. In all honesty, I would've understood if CGC took this approach 22 years ago, but not implement it now and only on 30% of the submissions.

On the Tats page the " Now opening CGC comics packages delivered the week of ____ is missing this morning? Does this mean CGC is finally caught up on most submissions?

Your guess is as good as mine.

My FT Moderns that got to CGC yesterday have already been entered into the system so it definitely looks like you are right about this.

Some FT Mods were picked up by them Monday and still haven't been entered so I'd say it's random.

Ok so this is interesting has anyone else seen this? I received two MFT orders just now a total of 17 books. All 17 have the Yellow SS labels but these are not Signature series books. All the labels are correct and do not list any signing information. WTH?  I have also verified the certification numbers and they don't show as SS. @CGC Mike do you have any insight. I have a few examples below.

Just another Mechanical Error and shining example of how much help the QC department needs.

WOW! What is that QA department even doing over there?

How long do we have to contact CGC with regards to mechanical errors? My Vengeance of Bane #1 that I received back, has a whole host of specs either on the cover or the mylar, which makes it looks like the book is messed up. I did get a 9.6, but it aggravates me because this book could pass for a 9.8.

As others have mentioned, this is a mechanical error.  E-mail pics to customer service.  They will send you a shipping label, and we will reholder these books with the proper labels, and send them back on our dime.  Sorry this happened to you.

Mike

My submission (standard) for 5 books has been one week or more in : grading/encapsulation/imaging status. Is that normal? I ask because all my previews submissions that status just last 2-3 days .

Mine has been in G/E/I for like 6 weeks.

Did you have these pressed with CCS?  Also was this Slow or FT?

I have an order with CCS for a year now and I'm just trying to gauge where I may be in line.  Thanks.
