Update to my order since I last posted:

I used the coupon for 4 books (15 business day turnaround times)

Today is day 17 I think- but yesterday they went to "scheduled for grading" and today they were graded. So we're seeing progress. The lady on the phone still said it might take a couple weeks to ship out, which sucks for me

Anyway, I have a question: has anyone here had the grades changed on them after they were posted online? I was told that it is a possibility and am curious on how common it is

Has it been 17 days (2 1/2 weeks) or 17 business days (3 1/2 weeks)? Plus, 10/12 (and possibly 10/11) doesn't count as a business day since Fridays during major cons (NYCC in this case) don't count as a business day.

That's ridiculous, 9 months?

Someone should run a test. Conceive a child on the way to the post office to mail their CGC submission.

We could have a pool on which package would arrive first. The baby or the slabs. hm

This past Friday the 26th was also not a business day because CGC was attending WW Austin.

If you call for grades and receive them before the books are enccapsulated the grade can change on a book. Grades can change even after they are posted as graded on the website. They are finalised when they are slabbed.

I did not know that.

One of the main graders have to review slabs to make sure they didn't damage them? They grade it through the slab? Doesn't sound right. The fact that someone reviews the book is fine, but I'm betting the encapsulation folks aren't grading it.

Doesn't surprise me. I monitor all social media channels, forums, blog posts and news articles that have mentions of the company I work for as my job; compile reports on what people are saying and hold meetings monthly with the top brass. Companies might not reply to you, but if you complain they will hear it.

just a heads up i sent in 4 books with the 15 day cc coupon they were received by cgc on 10/4. they were marked as scheduled for grading on 10/24, marked graded on 10/25 and grades were posted then marked shipped on 10/25 and i received them on monday 10/29. so for me it was exactly 15 business day although they had them for 22 days. but i got them very fast from the time they were shipped dont know if it was because of the value of the comics or what. but i think that them telling you that it will take weeks for them to ship after they say graded or shipped might be a little off. hopes this helps any.
