Warrior magazine #1 doing anything more than usual? That's his first modern appearance I believe.

The most recent sale on GPA is a CGC 5.0 that sold for $351 on December 31st.

Warrior #1 is also the 1st appearance of V for Vendetta, so it's not necessarily just Miracleman for market activity.

Perhaps, but many copies don't. Very surprised at the final price. hm That's a significant bend on the BC, and the corners are all soft. Guess it's time to start leaking out my 40 or so copies lol

Yeah there are so many of these out there.  I have at least a dozen.  Those prices won't hold for long.

Since the "gold" editions of the U.S. version are so expensive, U.K. Editions are probably the safest long-term bet for Miracleman #1. :shy:

To clarify, are u talking about the L. Miller 1950s 'Marvelman' or was there a circa :butbutbutemoji: 1985 UK printing of Miracleman #1?

Back cover of Miracleman #1 (1985) U.K. Edition has a yellow advertisement for a 1/2 price sale at two London bookstore locations, instead of a multi-panel Zot! Eclipse Comics advertisement.

Since the front cover is identical and since the front cover includes a UK price, does anyone know if the U.K. Edition for Miracleman #1 (1985) was exclusive to the two Quality Comics locations?  Did the rest of the U.K. get the regular edition?

I think if I was in the U.K. running a competing comic shop, I wouldn't want to sell an advertisement for my competition. hm  What we call the U.K. Edition may have been exclusive to a single retailer.

In terms of heating up, it looks like one-offs except for the Dr. Strange 81. So I guess one of these is pertinent (shrug)

True perhaps, but it does show the interest trend of some buyers. All sales are data points. :hi:

No, it doesn't show a trend or any interest other than the buyer's (except on the DS 81). It only shows a purchase. We might as well just go to feeBay and click on the sold items box if we want to see what random junk has sold recently that likely isn't heating up.

That Moon Knight book absolutely kills me. I picked a copy up in a lot of stuff several months ago...maybe even last year. It was the only Moon Knight comic I had, and I thought to myself "You know, a Moon Knight show is coming out, and the early stuff is red hot. I can see the ongoing getting hot as well, with the Sienkiewicz covers and all. But what are the odds that anyone will ever want the 2nd issue of a miniseries from the 80's?" So it eventually ended up in a box of stuff I sold at the local shop. Because of course it did. Because I'm an insufficiently_thoughtful_person.

I guess it's true, these days it's best not to sell anything until it pops, because in time, everything is going to.

People need to sit down and rethink a few basic life principles at this point (hell, I'm not even sure it isn't a marketing trick and he actually IS playing this character in the show yet. I would love it...cause this a favourite issue of mine, but my moony-senses are tingling). I do think some sellers are self bidding up some of these auctions in order to make their other STACKS AND STACKS of inventory look like a deal when listed :D  My contact who I sourced my 9.8 from, has a warehouse of stock which includes boxes of this issue. SETTLE DOWN PEOPLE!

I wonder what my copy would fetch right now ;)
