Prince Namor
3) In the context of what they're doing, Michael B. Jordan will be fine as Johnny Storm or the Human Torch or whatever. Especially aiming at a young audience, it just won't matter at all. Wish we could've seen more of his flame...
Bosco685
You could be right. I'm not seeing anything here that jumps out like when Marvel will insert someone's character name on a computer screen or file. One of those spots on the continent of Africa may be Wakanda.... Easter Egg potentially identified It was this screen.
Prince Namor
4) Can they get Ben Grimm right? It's the real key to the FF and at one time, he was one of the most popular character at Marvel Comics. (People forget that he hosted Marvel Two-In-One for almost 10 years (1974-1983) and 100 issues! That's exactly what the article talked about this morning about the five things we needed to see from this trailer. One item that was key is getting Ben right. He looks massive next to the other characters in that final scene looking up at the sky.
Prince Namor
This is one of my favorite scenes from the trailer... Johnny on Fire and Sue in a protective invisible bubble thing....

Bosco685
So here is what this movie needs to hit or exceed. FF1 was a financial success (exceeded 2.5X target). FF2 was a financial flop (missed the 2.5X target).
majawi
The Thing definitely looks good so far, I can't believe it but I'm a little excited for this. My hopes were so low to begin with, though, so it really didn't take much I suppose. Still, I'm happy to at least be excited for an FF movie
RockyMullins
Just saw the trailer...I must admit, it looked better than I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting much. I didn't even hear the trailer was coming out, but a non comic buddy at work was playing it on his PC.
zosocane
I can't believe i'm writing this, but I like what i saw. i had incredibly low expectations, but this trailer is -- compared solely to the 2005/2007 FF disaster -- refreshing. The movie might still bomb. But I have hope now.
NewWorldOrder
Not sure what you guys are seeing that I am not. Trailer looked by far one of the worst comic books movies of all time!
Rodey
I just watched it like...30 seconds ago. It looks better than the other ones. I think Miles Tiller will do a decent job as Reed Richards.
Doc McCoy
No clear shot of The Thing, so jury's still out, but if he ends up looking right, this may have potential.
PsylockeSmythe
The trailer did nothing to make me want to go out and see this in a movie theater. Right now I'm still firmly in the camp of I'll wait and see it when it hits one of the cable channels. Wally's Comics
Trailer looks ok... I'll wait for the reviews though... FOX created a larger comeback hurdle when they casted Johnny Storm to be played by a African American. Changing race is tricky: some times it works, like Samuel L. playing Fury and sometimes I feel like the character missed the mark like Daredevil's Kingpin... I just think if the movie is written well it could work, but if not - the change can look like a cheesy switch just to be PC or stir up controversy. Generic
Anything after the last couple of FF movies will be a step up. Thanks for the heads up!
Bronx
Yup, it looks a little better but that is not saying much at all. As a lifelong FF fan I remain naively hopeful However the old saying keeps on playing: Fool me once shame on.....
