Pretty cheap for a nice looking CGC 6.5 (I thought it would go past 40 000$ to maybe 45 000$)!! Maybe they should have added a image of the back of the comic.

It seems like Hulk 1 in that grade sells for about the same these days. I still believe Hulk 1 will eventually surpass AF15 for the #1 SA spot (give it a few more years).

This Hulk 1 in the same exact grade as the AF15 CGC 6.5 sold on ComicLink for 33 120$.

But hey I guess AF15 is way ahead of Hulk 1 and always will be.

Anyhow I will stop talking Hulk 1 in a AF15 thread.

Careful.

Posting publicly available sales data to make a point can get you ridiculed around here. lol

The Amazing Fantasy #15 had Marvel chipping on it which seems to keep prices lower. Meanwhile the Hulk #1 looked like a 7.0 copy in a 6.5 holder. They weren't really comparable copies.

This copy is more comparable to the AF #15 that just sold.

Roy is correct ... Not all 6.5s are created equal. I didn't bid on the 6.5 due to weak eye appeal.

This is a prime example of why those that rely solely on gpa data to make a point are often not supporting their point ;)

I agree with this statement - equal grades do not equal pricing.

What is fascinating is that MC and "eye appeal" can cause such a HUGE price swing but not a grade change. hm

I understand how the grade scale works and it is just that, a scale (a range if you will). However, the behavior of collectors relative to individual perceived "eye appeal" or even collective agreement of "eye appeal" within a given grade driving such huge price swings is still interesante...

:gossip: there is a beautiful AF 15 7.0 in the current ComicConnect auction that is FAR superior to other AF 15 7.0's… (shameless plug) (shrug)
