So what did Robot Man pick up?

Crossed 3 more EC pre trends off the list. The Saddle Justice came from Harley at a real fair price. Love these Ingalls GGA covers. The Fat and Slat 2 was $18. From my friend Brian Peets. Low grade but what a great cover for $15. What EC guy couldn’t leave it?

A few more cheap impulse buys off my want list. The Thrilling had a nice Frazetta story and a Schomburg cover. The Lovers Lane was one I discovered here on the boards that I’ve not seen a copy for sale and a “headlights” Brenda Star I didn’t have. Already on the upgrade list but this will do for now.

And a fun suprise. The Little Audrey giant annual. A book I discovered years ago in my annual quest that just kept eluding me. Has 2 Kubert adventure stories, a whole bunch of Mopsy, and I believe Three Stooges #1. Having a coupon out of a non story ad/text page made this VERY affordable.

Also got a small pile of cool box diving finds that will probably end up in my boxes soon. Pays to look in the boxes folks…

Not bad for an hour or so of poking around. Wish I had more time to shop as I missed some dealers that showed up on Sunday but I had to go to work…:sorry:

Robot Man, I thought you might like this "Jr Federal Men Badge" ad that I found in a Brazilian comic (July 1939)

I imagine you must have the badge, right?

I had to search a bit..... but I found where that Brazilian Ad came from: Adventure Comics 23

Here's the US version:

Indeed. The one you pictured is the second version I believe. When it was still called New Adventure Comics. The club started in 1936 and ended in 1940. The last one just said Adventure Comics. Interesting that they were pitching it to girls.

Thanks for posting this. Your comic is probably more rare than the buttons...

Next week is the LA paperback show. Tons of PBs, pulps and a few comics. As well as other paper ephemera. And the week after that is WonderCon. I love March in LA. I just get “junk drunk”…:roflmao:

Damn I miss those shows! There is a gigantic Anime festival in Tokyo March 25th and while I don't know all the characters I think I will head over to check out the action. Lots of cosplaying and bound to be lots of other sights to see. But I sure am missing the smell of pulpy paper these days!
